It might’ve been a couple of months since Game of Thrones ended. What a drag those months have been. That doesn’t mean we’ll stop posting about it though. This article ranks the hottest women from Game of Thrones Season 1 and 2. It’s fun to speculate who is number one, but it really shouldn’t surprise you. Roxanne McKee, pictured above, plays Doreah who got the number 2 slot. I’m not complaining about that. Check out the entire ranking system below at Ranker.

Morning Link: Favorite Family Guy Supporting Players

Family Guy is definitely one of the few [or maybe too many for an adult] cartoon shows I actually watch. It’s pretty witty, though I think it gets a little bit too high on itself. It gets away with blatant racism [or does it?] and it’s pretty nice to actually laugh at such horrible things when no one else is in the room haha. It also had a lot of staying power. Can we say that this is our generation’s Simpsons? I was never truly part of that demographic, but I think Family Guy is definitely for the younger crowd. This awesome article honors some of the favorite supporting characters. Above is Bruce from Family Guy and I totally read that in his voice. There is no Mayor West or Giant Chicken, but the list is pretty solid none-the-less.

Ever heard the phrase, ‘Do a Barrel Roll’ or ‘Finish Him’? If you’re not familiar with game culture and are interested, than this is the video for you. What we have here is a surprisingly information-filled story about the history of gaming memes. Included, you’ll hear “All Your Base Belong to Us”, “Fail”, etc. It’s surprising how Fail came from gaming culture when everyone, including non-gaming people, now incorporate this into every day life. Check out the video above.
Morning Link: Actors Who Have Gone Full Frontal

Tressugar compiled an interesting list with actors who have gone full frontal. This isn’t what we usually cover, but Jason Segal made this list and I absolutely love him after his stunt he pulled on Forgetting Sarah Marshall. It’s not that I like man junk, but it’s an overall interesting list to see brave actors who have allowed millions of people to see them. Literally millions of people. No way I’d do that kind of thing. Semi-NSFW material ahead.
Morning Link: All the Dark Knight Rises Plot Holes

There’s a lot of people giving heat to the Dark Knight Rises for the plot holes. Uproxx had compiled most if not all of the alleged plot holes and sarcastically answered them back with reasonable explanation. How did Bruce Wayne get back into Gotham? How did Scarecrow become the judge if the people chose everything? Check out the sarcastic answers [or maybe even just see what all the plot holes are] at the link.

Hitfix came up with this awesome list about 20 movies we’ve been waiting on. Whether they be sequels of old movies or ones that the director has been always interested in making, it’s all here. Some of them are even planned and in production as you read this! I’m already excited for the Arrested Development movie! Apparently the first episode title of Arrested Development has been leaked. It’s nothing spectacular being titled: Arrested Development: Michael, but it proves it’s in production! I can’t get excited enough for such a thing. Check out this movie and the rest of the stuff below by clicking the link.

Morning Link: The Best Pixar Characters

It’s hard not loving Pixar movies. You’d have to be soulless to not absolutely fall in love with the creative and intriguing characters Pixar comes up with. Moviefone has done the ambitious ranking of nearly all the Pixar characters throughout the years. With nearly 118 contestants, it was a neat gallery going through and remembering all the crazy characters and the awesome voices that portrayed them. I’ve included the link starting from number 1, because in all honesty, who wants to scroll through 118 pictures. Guess who got the number one spot before you hit the link!
7 Game of Thrones Theories Worth Talking About
Posted in Books, Lists, tagged daenerys, dance with dragons, feast for crows, Game of Thrones, George R.R. Martin, jon snow, storm of swords, theories, tyrion lannister, winds of winter on August 7, 2012| 18 Comments »
As soon as I finished A Dance with Dragons, I didn’t fear entering the once Bane of My Existence, A Wiki of Ice and Fire. Being a sinkhole of summaries and spoilers, I couldn’t stand the idea of venturing into such dangerous territory. So as I was clicking through the various pages, I stumbled upon a theories page which came up with interesting articles that included evidence for and against popular theories in the Song of Ice and Fire community. Some of them were more obvious than others, but a couple certainly took me by surprise and I find myself having hard time NOT believing these are actually true based on the evidence. MAJOR BOOK SPOILERS below, so enter at own risk.
Morning Link: Fan Art Better than the Original

This is a really cool list. From Cracked, we have this article about several pieces of art [movie, drawing, etc.] that were created by fans that are significantly better than the original. For example, someone has taken the Star Wars trilogy and and essentially revamped it to match true fan expectations. They aligned blaster pistols, cauterized proper wounds, removed useless background things added by George Lucas and even seen above, they added a medal for Chewie!! Check out all the changes and the other 5 interesting entries in the jump below.

Morning Link: Eerie Movie Predictions
Posted in Lists, Movies, tagged bruce lee, keanu, matrix on August 2, 2012| Leave a Comment »
Some movies are just plain creepy in what they predict. And leave it to Cracked.com writers to find out every little thing. For instance in the photo above. We have Keanu Reeves passport from the first Matrix. It seems his passport expires on a very infamous day, September 11, 2001. Now there can’t be any real meaning to that, but it’s still eerie that they arbitrarily chose a day and it turned out to actually mean something. Check out this instance any many more in the link below.

Happy Endings, Jon Stewart, Louis CK, HBO, and more is technically all American Television. Morning Glow has compiled a list of 20 gifs that encompass the best of American TV well. Be sure to check out the list and if you like even half of the shows on the list, you should check out the rest because they’lll likely fit your taste as well.

I love this list. This list compiles some very ugly characters on televisions and takes a look at their real life actress portrayals. We’ve featured one of the players on this list, Thesy Surface. You’ll also see Crazy Kitty from Arrested Development, Bird-like Dee Reynolds from It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. We absolutely love showcasing attractive women here, so be sure to hit the link and see the prettier sides of actresses.
Morning Banana Oatmeal: Zombie Movie Plot Holes

While everyone loves a good zombie movie, it’s a known fact that they don’t come without plot holes. Simple ideas such as “what happens when the zombies don’t eat for a long time” vs “Does getting bitten or scratched merit a zombification” are easily called upon. But of course the geniuses at Cracked have compiled an awesome list of gaping holes that not only occur in one movie, but all movies. Check out the list after the jump. Speaking of zombies we only have a couple of more weeks until Walking Dead Season 3!! And a couple more months until Brad Pitt’s World War Z!! We haven’t had a good zombie movie since Zombieland…
Morning Banana Oatmeal: Tallness in Celebrities
Posted in Character Profiles, Lists, tagged anthony bourdain, cray, justin bieber, kardashian, katie holmes, short, tall people, tmz, Tom Cruise on July 25, 2012| Leave a Comment »
We’re not really a gossip type here at Banana Scoop [we like to think we deliver REAL news, lol], but every once in a while, the usually horrible articles at MSN and Yahoo! catch my attention. While they’re not too incredibly in depth and too often include celebrities I don’t care about [anyone with the name Bieber or Kardashian], I did find this article from MSN neat about how it compiles the heights of some famous celebrities. I usually dig random celebrity facts and this is no different. Sure the Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes ones are obvious, but seeing some others like Mr. Bourdain here was pretty interesting. Check out the article by clicking the link below.
Morning Link: Comic Cliches
Posted in Books, Lists, tagged Batman, comics, deadpool, frank miller, superman on July 24, 2012| Leave a Comment »
Cracked has come up with another list of awesome points. This time around, it’s common comic cliches that occur on all comic covers. It has something to do with how the artists like portraying heroes. And apparently there’s a rule book for thing like, holding someone dead in your arms and screaming at the sky, or trying to fit in as many guns as possible. Or it’s pure coincidence that most comic books do this. It’s very much like the 3 Point Landing I posted about earlier.
Morning Banana Oatmeal: Batman Comics Worth Looking Into
Posted in Books, Lists, Movies, tagged batgirl, Batman, catwoman, Joker, killing joke on July 20, 2012| Leave a Comment »
As I stated before, I’ve been thinking of getting into comic books. Some of them include cult favorites like Watchmen and League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. But one I’ve been told over and over again to read by everyone who’s been blessed with reading it, is”The Killing Joke”. From what I hear, it’s what Heath Ledger took to when he was trying to get into the mind of the Joker. Besides from that one, UGO has compiled a list of some of best Batman comics out there.
Morning Banana Oatmeal: Series Netflix Should Revive
Posted in Lists, Television, tagged Arrested Development, Firefly, netflix, pushing daisies, serenity, veronica mars on July 19, 2012| Leave a Comment »
Netflix has gloriously taken it upon themselves to broadcast the new mini season of Arrested Development. This begs the questions: why on Earth don’t all people cut the middle men and skip network programming altogether. We’re moving into an age, where [at least in my opinion] television is largely watched through our computers. How convinient all that would be! Anywho, back to this post, following Arrested Development, The Street compiled 10 canceled television shows that should be revived in the same manner as Arrested Development. Some got their due [like Firefly above], but not everyone is always happy.
Morning Banana Oatmeal: Silent Videogame Protagonists
Posted in Lists, Video Games, tagged gordon freeman, Link, videogames on July 18, 2012| Leave a Comment »
I personally do enjoy the bliss of silence. And many of you who’ve played video games understand that every once in a while, you’ll have a protagonist who essentially goes along with the flow. He/She doesn’t protest nor do he/she have anything to say about a particularly horrible incident. Sometimes these are detrimental to the plot and sometimes it’s just the way some people are. UGO has compiled a list of their favorites silent protagonists. I unfortunately haven’t had the opportunity to play as number 1. Someone recommend that I do and I just might take them up on that offer…
Morning Banana Oatmeal: South Park is the Best

My love for South Park is fairly well known. And with recent blow up with Tom Cruise, I was reminded how South Park’s absurdities sometimes resonate with the truth, even it it didn’t mean to. UGO has compiled a list of why South Park continues to be one of the best pop culture satires on air. Everything ranging from greatness consistency to key awesome characters like Randy and Butters are covered. Be sure to check the jump below.
