Fall TV is in full swing and I’m scrambling amongst my busy life to be catching up on everything that’s new and amazing while simultaneously catching up on a number of favorites recommended to me by others.  Some old shows have left us (Happy Endings, The Office, Community, Modern Family), but that doesn’t mean it’s still not a busy week for me and my television.  So I’ll break down the lineup I go through each week and then I’ll dive into the initial impressions of each show!

ABC

Fall TV is probably the best season of TV.  There’s just about something on from Sunday to Sunday every night and it’s such a refreshing start after a dull summer of waiting every Sunday for Breaking Bad.  So with Fall TV having started most of it’s major players, I’m writing a little update to share with you everything I’m watching.  Looking at this list, I watch a helluva lot of television.  And I love every minute of it.

I love television.  But I sometimes don’t realize not everyone is as fortunate as I am to have access to all the television.  Happy Endings, Jon Stewart, Louis CK, HBO, and more is technically all American Television.  Morning Glow has compiled a list of 20 gifs that encompass the best of American TV well.  Be sure to check out the list and if you like even half of the shows on the list, you should check out the rest because they’lll likely fit your taste as well.

My love for South Park is fairly well known.  And with recent blow up with Tom Cruise, I was reminded how South Park’s absurdities sometimes resonate with the truth, even it it didn’t mean to.  UGO has compiled a list of why South Park continues to be one of the best pop culture satires on air.  Everything ranging from greatness consistency to key awesome characters like Randy and Butters are covered.  Be sure to check the jump below.

They are truly one of the few programs on air that can get away with blatant racism...I love it.

South Park season 16 is about 4 episodes in.  A while back in the midseason finale for their 15th season, creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker hinted through Randy and Sharon’s marriage failure when it came to their ability to shake things up instead of hitting the refresh button was getting more and more problematic when it came to their marriage.  This was probably over analyzed as people saw it as a foreshadowing of how the South Park series was turning out, and people came to a panic that the beloved social satire program would come to an end.  And with Stone and Parker’s new broadway hit, The Book of Mormon firing on all cylinders, it seemed almost plausible.  But of course they said they’re still planning on continuing for at least 2 more seasons.  And that being said, season 16 premiered 4 weeks ago as I just said.  And it’s been an excellent premiere that’s got both my head tilting in thought and side splitting in laughter.

Pixar is the front runner for promising animated films of this generation.  Classic Disney was the front runner for giving us the best animation of the 1900s.  It seems Disney and its acquisitions have always given us the most memorable animated movies that we watched when we were children and will recommend our children to watch as we grow older.  So finding a great animated feature that doesn’t have the production title Disney, is indeed a rare gem.  I tried to find as much range as possible.  Please remind me if I missed any.  Hit the jump for the list.
