Some movies have moments where the violence is so disgusting or the scene so disturbing, that it would disturbing or disgusting for you as a human being if you didn’t feel any antipathy towards the seen, there’s likely something wrong with you. So I’ve compiled a list of several fairly mainstream movies that have fairly graphic scenes. I’m aware there are films that are relatively close to being snuff films that show extremely graphic moments, but I’m going to stay more towards Hollywood and stuff. Hit the jump for the following scenes. WARNING: extremely graphic scenes and videos below. I don’t recommend you watch any scenes of movies you if you haven’t seen them as they might give away spoilers.
Head Stomp – Drive
Seeing as this movie is very recent, I can’t legally get a copy of the scene. However, it’s just as graphic and mesmerizing as the others on this list. Ryan Gosling’s Driver is a borderline psychotic hero who reminds me of a Lenny from Of Mice and Men. He’s sweet at heart, but put a bunny in his hands, he’ll crush it from hugging it too much.
Face Smashing – Pan’s Labrinth
This movie is a masterpiece by Guillermo Del Toro. It’s advertised as an adult fairy tale and it certainly has its adult elements. Here’s a not so fairy tale moment where a man has his face smashed in. The uploader was kind enough to slow it down so you could see it in slow motion. How kind of America’s best for him to do. How do I know it’s a him? Because there are no girls on the internet :D.
The Curb Stomp – American History X
Edward Norton’s turn as a Neo Nazi is strikingly disturbing. This particular scene is one of the hardest scenes to watch out of everything I’ve ever watched before.
The Treatment- A Clockwork Orange
There’s a lot of disturbing moments in this movie. All sorts of ultra violence and rape included. But Malcolm MacDowell screaming with those damn things in his eyes has to be one of the most uncomfortable moments I’ve ever experienced.
Would You F*** Me? – The Silence of the Lambs
Another movie that had multiple scenes worthy of this moment. I could’ve used some of Anthony Hopkins more graphic scenes, but this moment just had my head tilted to look away at any moment.
When was the last time you dropped your head in disgust?
The “lust” murder in Se7en. The rest of that film didn’t bother me much, but that scene…makes me feel ill to just think about it.
Yes, all awful. And there’s probably a lot more out there. Maybe Dragon Tattoo (American version) will be on a list too.
hahha! okay so i finally found some one who totally agrees how disgusting the brutal scenes in saw and many other movies are!
nice blog!

I was going to comment on Irreversible, but not for the same reasons as Alessandra….in similar style to a few of those that you’ve picked, its the fire extinguisher head crush that gets me. No cuts, just one long, nasty shot.
Another disturb scene is the rape of Monica Bellucci rape in “Irreversible” : (
Just reading the title my brain screamed “American History X” and that was before even reading your blog or seeing the pic.
Yes I totally came over here to read your stuff after commenting on mine. I love new blogs. Especially about stuff I like. Like entertainment and stuff.
As for El Laberitno del Fauno, I think I find more terrible the moment when that dude gets his face cut… he deserves it, but it’s disgusting.
Oh, the one from American History X… I’ve never actually been able to look. I just can’t. it’s too much!
I almost puked during the pans labyrinth scene, is a pity as I’m sure my mother would like the film without that bit in it
