Cracked took apart 5 movies where characters had tattoos and found them contradictory to the stories.  They took the movie producer’s attempts to be badass/meaningful/colorful and completely sat them on their asses.  Sounds like class Cracked to me.  I’ve always been wary of tattoos, as when they’re cool when you’re young, they can sag and become nasty as you get older.  And I always thought it even worse when people had tattoos of Chinese symbols when the only time they’ve ever read Chinese was when they were Googling the translation for their tattoo.

People have made a career by simply utilizing their weight as physical comedy.  It’s funny because there seemingly aren’t any average looking people in Hollywood.  They’re either teenage heart throbs or they’re so obese that they’re the joke to every punchline.  Complete polar opposites.  UGO has compiled some of the industry’s funniest fat guys, both animated and real life.  Click the link to check out the list.

Sometimes you can’t help but notice and say, “Hey I’ve seen that guy in at least 3 other movies this year”.  I like to think for most actors that doing one year should be more than enough to pay off that year’s bills and still live in a luxurious sense.  But then I see some actors that do 2 or 3 movies in one year, I think to myself: not only are you loaded, but you must be absolutely exhausted.  How are they able to deliver such powerful performances when they’re doubling, tripling, or even quadrupling characters in one period of time.  Forget Daniel Day-Lewis [who takes years for him to get into character], get these peoples Oscars or some sort of award quickly, because they definitely deserve it for their versatility.  So below is a list of actors who did multiple movies in the same year and were able to deliver awesome performances in them.  Be sure to remind me of the many that I missed in the comments section below!

Some movie or television apocalypses on television are so completely detrimental, that it’s clear how humanity truly doesn’t stand a chance.  There are plenty of disaster/apocalyptic movies that use devices like these to make us sympathize for humanity and the characters in them.  However, maybe not all these movies get the sympathy they want: most zombie movies simply involve waiting the zombies to starve out is an example of how time could possibly beat the Apocalypse.  Cracked has naturally compiled such a list.  Check it out below.

A while back, I posted an article about how to be a movie douchebag.  There are certain set of rules that movie lovers must abide to correctly integrate with today’s society and culture of non-movie goers.  Some basics like, talking in the middle of it to share a pointless fact, or thinking you’d do a better job are a couple of my points.  But of course Cracked came around and created a list of their own reasons why movie lovers suck, and it’s-like-a bajillion better than mine and of course millions of people read it while probably 4 of you did.

Some people do some pretty amazing stuff in Movies that have to do with some sort of extensive tech expertise.  The ATM jacking scene in Terminator 2: Judgement Day, the universal TV public access in V for Vendetta, there are a ton out there.  But more than often, you’d think of this kind of thing to be only in the TV and movies.  But Cracked has compiled some instances in where these crazy hacks happen in real life.  One crazy hack thing I recall was in Die Hard with a Vengeance where they were remote exploding people from their computers and apparently we can’t do this.  Oh well, probably for the best.

College Humor enlisted Dan Markowitz from Defectivity.com to draw a neat schematic as to why you’d be bleeding according to movie cliche’s.  While none are overly insightful, you gotta appreciate the art and semi-witty statements that accompany it.  Above is the first half, in support of College Humor, I’ll link you to the second half.

Some Easter eggs will never be discovered unless revealed by Director Commentary or a film psychopath systematically breaks down every scene he watches and compiles the picture above which features the infamous YO Pizza Planet Truck from the first Toy Story in near every Pixar movie.  Cracked [of course] has compiled 6 other amazing Easter Eggs that will seriously blow your mind out of your face if you’re not prepared.

There are many great moments in movies where a speech is given to rally the troops right before an impending attack or an aggressive attack.  These are absolutely necessary for the soldier to not lose heart in the face of battle because discipline out-wins numbers or size 9 times out of 10.  So it lies on the speaker’s voice and words to influence a man to either stand and fight or run away like a coward.  Here are six speeches that would make me stand and fight for anyone for anything.

This is a colorful list that truly represents what the title is.  This list compiles tv characters we love to hate, and I immediately thought Joffrey Baratheon when I saw the title.  Jack Gleeson, the actor who portrays him, truly encapsulated what a little sh!t Joffrey really is, and I feel bad for him to be playing such a hated character.

There’s a certain pretenciousness that comes with being a Movie Buff.  We judge others for their lack of interest/ignorance when it comes to the industry.  You always have something to say when someone says they’re excited for the next Transformers movie.  You vomit endless amounts of useless information when someone asks you who that black actor in Die Hard 3 was.  A while back, I did an article about the benefits of being a movie buff, but there are certainly cons that also come with it.  And I request you movie buffs out there to be sure to tone yourself down when you do these things, because even I find them obnoxious from time to time.  And to those I’ve talked to, I’m sorry if I movie douched you in any way.  This list I’ve come up with are the direct experiences with what I’ve done and what I’ve seen others do.  But if you’re with your movie buddies, go buck wild.  So here are ways you can act like a pretentious movie douche.  **Note, this is a very attacking article and very stupid in my opinion.  I mainly wrote it to vent some built up feelings.  Feel my wrath.

As a self-classified geek, I love it when the geeks in movies get the girls.  And so after reading this list, I knew I had to share it with ya’ll. Maybe this will happen to me one day.

I made a vow to watch more silent movies after The Artist.  While I haven’t actually done so yet, I’ve made an effort to research the ones I would watch.  Shadowlocked has come up with a tasteful list of movies I would definitely watch.  It’s a completely different culture when it comes to silent movies.  I recognize very few of the titles and I can’t even imagine the style and acting required to make these movies sing.  I’ll get back to you when I finally do accomplish this.

If you are a Harry Potter fan reader, you will either do one of three things when you read this article: 1) refute everything this article has to say and have the text to support your claims.  2) be horrified in the universe you’ve come to love and the implications some of your favorite scenes truly had or 3) Be in absolute awe that you never thought of that yourself.  This article contains the harsh truths of the Harry Potter universe.  There are more than a few people who wish they were wizards in this world, but after reading this article, it’s hard for me to say the same.  With the entire world being magic, it seems as though my life would be fairly boring if I didn’t know Harry Potter and was just an average wizard forced to clean owl poop.  My favorite point is he sincere lack of education if you’re not an Auror.

Being a video game blog along with movies and television, I’m going to try and catch up with the relative lack of posts the video game category currently has.  And today I’m going to go through the list of games that I’m buying brand spanking new [used games are a different issue to be discussed in a different time].  2012 had quite the roster of highly anticipated games, and I can’t wait to get my hands on the following 5.  Ordered based on release date.

Was Snow White’s first instinct to clean the house sexist?  Moviefone has compiled a list of children’s movies that caught flak for possibly containing some insensitive humor.  Obesity, anti-oil, and hidden sex images are mentioned, but it’s up to you to believe if the company meant to add them.  I personally like to think so because I like the idea of movie writers and producers snickering in their rooms as they get Snow White residuals from 1950.

Cracked is my crack.  They continue as a whole to blow my mind as they make seemingly unaffliated movies be like brother and sister.  Like long lost brother and sister that was shoved into the plot of Return of the Jedi because people favored a Solo/Leia storyline.  I digress.  Cracked has once again proved themselves by taking two movies that have essentially the same storyline.  While a couple are a result of pure hindsight, the others are purely hilarious and you’d be foolish to not believe it.

Dance sequences in TV is quite possibly one of the most mysteriously awesome things.  ESPECIALLY if the show isn’t about dancing.  While dancing in Glee is almost a given, Friends, Seinfeld, Scrubs, and other network sitcoms sometimes treat us with the main characters pulling a dancing routine right out of their asses.  Warming Glow has compiled some of the best sites in Youtube videos.  I almost compiled my own, but it would’ve been so similar to this list, it would’ve looked like I completely copied them.  And I’m trying to cut back on the illegal computer blogging rules.  So here’s the direct link instead.  While It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia makes the cut with their dance themed episode, I think the finale dance for season 7 might make the cut.  The video below the link

Hit Fix has compiled a very interesting list about 21 actors and directors who of which they claim have his their peaks and are a downward spiral to the Hollywood Industry blackhole.  Some of them are very much out the of the industry these days: Eddie Murphy, Lindsay Lohan, etc., but there are a few who are at least pumping out a few decent things here and there and I have faith in: Farrelly Brothers, Keanu Reeves, Uma Thurman etc.  Let me know who’s worth saving in the comments.
