I can’t believe how fast these past 8 weeks have gone and how far we’ve advanced in Game of Thrones. The big battle is up next, and most of the pieces are lining up in their final positions. It’s interesting how the producers have taken things so far as they’re including tidbits of the third book/season in the episodes so far. I wouldn’t say a lot happened this episode except that some characters are walking to new places seeing as the finale is right around the corner. This marks the first time in a while where we’ve seen most if not all of the major storylines, which might explain why so little was actually done. But by far my favorite part included the beautiful Talisa, but we’ll get into all of that below. Obvious spoilers.

So, with the advent of the Avengers movie, surely a lot of swag will come along with it, but these realistic Avenger action figures might just leave you guessing as to whether or not the promo pictures were the actors or the figurines. Each costing over 200$ a piece, these collectors items aren’t cheap, with Tony Stark’s Mark VII Iron Man figurine being limited to a 3000 unit release. Assuming you’re into collecting, and have a lot of money to burn, check out the drawing on Kotaku’s article to enter yourself for the grand prize of four figurines (Nick Fury, Hawkeye, Captain America and Thor).

Batman is everywhere. He will find you and he will kill you. I feel like Liam Neeson’s taken character should also be featured, given his finding people skills.

So as people delve further and further into the depths of Diablo, I’d like to take a moment to link you to this amazing article that shows us the features we wanted, but never got in this amazing third installment of a legacy. Diablo III was meant to have a plethora of amazing features that never got implemented in the final iteration of the game. Some of these features are in the works as downloadable future content, but that doesn’t change the fact that some of them should have been implemented during the initial release. First and foremost, I would like to point out that, although announced, PvP was a part of the game that was scrubbed (if I understand correctly) in order to meet their deadline. While not necessarily a major let down in other games, most online games similar to Diablo should have a fully functional PvP, and somehow the world feels a little bland without it. Blizzard will undoubtedly remedy this situation later, but the fact remains. Check out what else they left you without in the article below!
Nine Compelling Diablo III Features That Didn’t Make the Final Game

Hello fellow game enthusiasts, and welcome to this week’s edition of Game of the Week. This week I’ll be covering an oldie but a goodie, Katamari Damacy. In this tripped out, colorful world, you control a character known as the Prince, trying to collect huge amounts of stuff into giant balls with an object known as a Katamari. I didn’t read too much into the storyline, as I was having too much fun actually playing the game. While the characters were fun and memorable, it was the gameplay and casual fun-ness of it all that drew me in and kept me playing for hours and hours on end while trying to complete each level. Overall I would definitely recommend that you pick up this game if you want to have an extra casual, interesting game to play that will keep you entertained when your Diablo or Call of Duty gets stale.

Today was a really bad day on Banana Feed. I published unfinished articles, description-less videos, and a lack for luster visual gallery. This was primarily because I started my first day of real work today at my internship and was unable to edit today’s posts. I apologize for the lack of effort and promise that this won’t happen again. Thank you for understanding.

I recently just crushed the 3 seasons of Avatar: the Last Airbender and I seriously got hyped up on how such a good show it was. The show was just so good that I had to honor it. I decided to honor it with a gallery of its title character. I went to Deviant art and chose the 15 best photos. I normally try to honor the artists, but it simply takes way to long to do this. I encourage you instead to check out the artists themselves. Below is the gallery.

We love everything Game of Thrones related here on Bananafeed, so anytime another source of pop culture clashes with Game of Thrones, of course it will be posted. Here we have another original rendition of the Simpsons opening that follows [but not too closely to avoid copyright clearly] the HBO series opening.

Well folks, I won’t say I told you so (because technically I didn’t, but I did tell a couple of my friends it would happen), but I did indeed foresee the obvious. With Diablo 3’s release come and gone, and everyone in hot pursuit of awesome items and sweet, sweet satisfaction via gameplay, it would seem that Blizzard overlooked a couple of things…or a dozen…or a hundred. Point is, Blizzard done goofed. Now to all you purists who believe that your favorite company can do no wrong: fine, believe what you want. Everyone else? Well, listen if you want to. Now, a lot of people were skeptical about a game that should normally feature a single player offline mode to require an ‘always-on’ internet connection, and you’d be right in being so. The article I’ve linked to is one issue out of many that a lot of hardcore Diablo fans are raring about and heated by as of late. Blizzard will undoubtedly fix the issue, but I think we should dissect why there were issues in the first place. Either way, it’s not my place to say what should or shouldn’t be done. I may be studying computer science, but I’m no game developer. Check out the article for some insight into the latest D3 bug.

The Avengers is busy Hulk Smashing awards left and right, and the internet is voluntarily creating more and more buzz by creating these hilarious images. In this meme, we’ve taken the social medium Facebook and implanted it into the Avengers universe where it’s constantly used. There are clever jokes and japes that involve likes and the sort. But I’m sure you read the entire image before you read this paragraph so I’ll assume you’re not living under a rock to the point where you can enjoy it. HULK SMASH DAT ASS.

Pop culture rapidly comes together in this anti zombie team. I would like to say this strictly came from movies and television, but we’ve got some internet pop culture as well as religious figures. I honestly only recognize 7/8 of the people on this. For those who don’t know: From left to right: John Rambo, Techno Viking, Youtube Weapons Guy [I think, is this the guy who has all the COD guns in real life?], McGyver, Jesus, Jackie Chan, Myster Guy, and Justin Bieber. Go google most of these if you’re not sure who they really are. Regardless, it’s a fairly well put together team, except I think the Brawler and Speed Fighter would easily get eaten and zombified first. Well at least after Bieber goes.

I am a tremendous Avatar: The Last Airbender cartoon fan. The series was more than just a children’s television show with its adult themes and tribute to Chinese culture. And with likable characters, beautiful animation scenes, and a very intricate and engaging story, its was impossible to not enjoy the three season run of the original series. The story follows the story of a young boy, Aang, who’s destined to be the Avatar, peace keeper of the world, by mastering the four elements: wind, water, earth, and fire. He unfortunately can barely escape his own adolescence and must employ the help of his friends to find his way. I redirect you to the wikipedia article if you’d like further backstory. The series had its closure and marked the end of an amazing show.
But with its immense popularity, Nickelodeon had obvious plans for a sequel series. The question at hand would be if it would feature its same characters as older and more developed, or if it would focus on another Avatar, before or after Avatar Aang’s time. In all honesty, the safer route would be to use the same characters already developed and safely liked by audiences and put them in another time to go through more shenanigans. So when Nickelodeon announced that it would take place nearly 100 years after the first series, it was an ambitious move that would have to deal with introducing a familiar setting with completely different characters. Naturally there would be a wave of a devout fans that’re watching every move, making sure they don’t screw up the beloved series. And as a devout fan myself, I have to tip my hats off, because The Legend of Korra is shaping up to be a more complex, more mature, and even more beautiful series than The Last Airbender ever was. Read below on my impressions of the show so far.

If you’ve seen the Avengers, you’ll know that the level of destruction in the final fight was borderline Transformers levels of destruction where entire buildings were falling dozens of cars exploding every minutes. Some cost analysts actually figured out how much all the damage would actually cost and came up with a very large number: $160 billion dollars. The article compares this disaster to other disasters that occurred. Let’s just say that we don’t wanna be angering any alien forces anytime soon.
