Preacher is so good this season. I love learning about the world and the main three characters. Had to do some fan art of the trio.

I Drew Roger Sterling

Roger Sterling
Dialogue I had in mind when drawing this:
Roger’s current mistress: “turn out the light honey”
Roger: “what light, there is no light, when has there ever been a light?”
Interestingly enough there are two types of Rogers: 1) hilarious and fun bro-Roger and 2) depressed and messy Roger. I opted to draw the 2nd because that Roger is so fascinating to me.
I did this as a request from a friend. Roger is probably my 2nd or 3rd favorite character in my recently finished Mad Men. After drawing my first favorite, Peggy (which this drawing makes look silly in terms of detail and effort lol), I still had a pang for Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce. And poof this piece I’m really proud of in terms of detail and shading.

I finished Mad Men guys. I have an article to write summing up my experiences with it, but for now I’m settling with some fan art of my favorite character in the series, Peggy Olson. Lots to do in the coming week. The Mad Men article, Black Carnival #4, packing to move out to my new apartment next week! Let’s hope I have time.
Getting Caught Up on the Latest Three Volumes of the Walking Dead Comic
Posted in Books, tagged AMC, book, carl, comic, graphic novel, image, michonne, rick grimes, robert kirkman, The Walking Dead on February 5, 2014| 2 Comments »
Something to Fear. What Comes After. March to War. These are the names of the three latest volumes on the shelf of Robert Kirkman’s The Walking Dead comic. The names themselves are fairly cryptic, marking some of what I’ve read to be incredible set ups to The Walking Dead’s most memorable villain since the Governor. Almost two years ago, I got my first two comic books for Christmas: The Walking Dead Compendium Volumes 1 & 2. They were both 1000 pages long, and I absolutely crushed through them in a manner of a week. The Walking Dead holds a close place in my heart as the first comic I’ve read and has recently inspired madness in collecting as many comics and graphic novels as possible.
It was very fitting that two years later on Christmas 2013, I obtained the three recent volumes of the The Walking Dead after the 2nd Compendium ended on. I finally got around to finishing these three and I got so gleeful that I simply had to write about all the feelings I’m feeling.
- An incredible new villain
- More dying of favorite characters
- Introduction and Reinforcement of Awesome Newer Characters
- New revelations
So below are summaries and feelings of what I’ve been reading through.

Hey Comic Book Readers, Let’s Talk about the Season 4 Walking Dead Trailer
Posted in Books, Television, tagged AMC, daryl dixon, grimes, Kill, michonne, rick, Season 4, The Walking Dead, Zombies on July 30, 2013| 3 Comments »
At San Diego Comic Con, there were a lot of news bombs dropped in terms of movies, television, and books. AMC released an amazingly well put together trailer for season 4 of the Walking Dead. Season 3 and show runner Glenn Mazarra took an amazing step forward in realizing what the Walking Dead had the potential to be, but after differences between book creator, Robert Kirkman and Glenn Mazarra, the show let Mazarra go.
Scott Gimple took the reins, who is credited for some of the show’s strongest episodes such as Sophie’s status after the barn and Rick’s memorable reencounter with the psychologically damaged Morgan. This has already created potential for making season 4 the strongest season yet. And as a book reader, I have quite the idea of what this season will be centered on.
This article is NOT meant TV-only fans, it is meant for comic book readers who have finished the prison arc.
If you do not want to be spoiled, LEAVE NOW before I ruin the show for you. Once again, this article/discussion is only for book readers and those who want to be spoiled.

Here Lies Walt Whitman – Breaking Bad Influence

It’s not an immediate surprise that the Simpsons paves the way for a lot of great pop culture moments. I stumbled upon this obscure Simpsons clip where Homer stumbles upon the grave of Walt Whitman and begins to start kicking and yelling at it. Now I’ve barely seen a complete episode of the Simpsons, so I have no idea what the context of this clip is. But what I did make a connection with is the top rated Youtube comments. Surprisingly this is a Breaking Bad related clip, so hit the more button to explain/discuss the hilarity of this clip with many Breaking Bad SPOILERS.
Plants vs. The Walking Dead

The Walking Dead returns this week and it’s a good time to start hyping up for it. This is a cool picture from Cabm84 that combines two really awesome things: AMC’s the Walking Dead and Plants vs. Zombies. Being huge fans of both, this picture really captures everything I love about pop culture. The picture has a couple of little interesting tidbits here and there: using the pea shooters as guns, cherry bombs as a grenade-on-the-belt type thing. Walnuts in the background guarding the sunflowers in the back. You can see the Gargantuar in the background and then the multiple types in front of the bus. I hope he does another scene including more plant types, as I can really see how creative you can get with ’em.
Be Like Mike Erhmentraut

Mike Erhmentraut has been trending on the internet lately because of his sheer awesomeness. He was involved in a few unforgettable moments in season 5 of Breaking Bad, and has therefore spawned an amazing commercial that plays on the “Be Like Mike” campaign that revolved around Michael Jordan so many years ago. An upbeat tune of being “Like Mike” has a different connotation to it because the original campaign wanted you to be like the awesome and inspiring basketball player, while this version aspires you to be a fixer and cold-blooded murderer. Check out the original Like Mike commercial below and beware because the above video contains massive spoilers.

MASSIVE SEASON 5 Breaking Bad spoilers in these videos so, otherwise stay away! These two clips I have are cuts from major scenes of Breaking Bad season 5. These cuts include trademark Curb Your Enthusiasm humor and soundtrack. I don’t watch too much Curb Your Enthusiasm, but I’ve seen enough to understand its dark humor, which is relayed and augmented in these clips. My head is still reeling from the Breaking Bad season 5 midseason finale. So these little pop culture quips will have to keep me going until the next 10 months….
Say My Name: Breaking Bad Summary and Review

Breaking Bad aired last night and I’m reeling. I admit I expected a lot of the events to happen, but the execution was exciting as always. The soundtrack this year is absolutely astounding and fitting for so many occasions. I even thought of Drive at a certain point. Anywho, this episode, Say My Name, is the episode before the season finale. As a whole after seeing this episode, I’m curious how it will all wrap up, considering that this episode didn’t really set up anything major to happen. There was a lot of resolution in many places, and could honestly have been the season finale itself. That means huge things will happen next episode and they’ll happen quickly. Anywho, let’s summarize what happened last night below. As always, major spoilers below!

The most exciting episode this season I would say. Plenty of crime, one-liners, and hair raising moments. And then a fantastic finale to wrap up the most jaw dropping episode. I say time and time again that this is one of the best original dramas on television and if you’re not watching, you’re seriously missing out. I can’t keep not talking about it, so enough with the spoiler free talk, read below for my review and take on last night’s episode: Dead Freight. As always MIGHTY spoilers ahead.

Breaking Bad returned last night in full force. Following up immediately where season 4 left off, the episode spent a large amount of time feeling the ramifications of what happened throughout all the characters. I’m not going into any spoilers until after the jump, so enough of this vague introduction. Let’s get into the what happened! Major spoilers below!!!!!!

Breaking Bad is less than a week away. I stand by saying that it’s the best television series on air. The pretense is engulfing, the drama intense, and the characters extremely engrossing. This video essentially sums up 4 amazing seasons and it’s easy to see Walter White’s dark descent into the criminal underworld. Attached to the classically amazing Requiem for a Dream soundtrack, I dare this video to not send shivers up your spine.

The Walking Dead redeemed itself in its season 2 finale. And from everything I’m hearing it’s gearing up to be the most exciting plot line next. Warming Glow has compiled a list of 3 reasons why: the new characters introduced. We got a glimpse at one of them, the sword wielding figure in the hood, but who are the others? Click below and find out why the Walking Dead may have its best season yet.
Breaking Bad Gets a Slightly Awesomer Mash Up with Pokemon

It’s small, but it’s still worth honoring considering that Breaking Bad returns in about 15 days. Breaking Bad is absolutely one of the best [if not the absolute best] television shows out there. This very scene was from the first season and can be known as one of the first steps taken in Walter White’s journey down his dark road. Well maybe not this particular scene, but the original one. If the Charizard actually did pop out, then we’d definitely have a strong candidate for ‘Best Fcking Television Show Ever Created’.
Character Profile: Walter White

With Breaking Bad just around the corner, it’s more than ready to start getting ready for it. I legitimately had to say last year’s season of Breaking Bad simply was the best show of the year, that saying even though I’m a hardcore Game of Thrones fan. It’s gritty, exciting, violent, and so emotional, that no amount [well maybe some amount] of dragons could beat the legendary game of cat and mouse between Gus and Walter. So in that honor, I’ve compiled a gallery of Deviant Art’s finest in honor of Walter White. In all honesty, there is a lot of Jessie Pinkman, so it might as well be the combination of the two. Breaking Bad’s final season part 1 begins July 15, 2012 on AMC.
Walter White Makes Lawn Chair Sitting Badass

The only salvageable piece of television in the deep summer in my opinion is AMC’s Breaking Bad. I’m seeing previews for Teen Wolf, White Collar, etc, etc. But nothing beats the high school chemistry teacher turned meth drug lord drama that has earned best series/actor several years in a row at distinct television award ceremonies. And as the promos for the season finale [which is broken up into two 8 episode runs in 2012 and 2013] are finally surfacing including this really badass shot of Walter White sitting in a lawn chair in his chemical hazmat suit, with boxes of both money and meth behind him. He’s gonna make his heads roll this season. I believe it’s only him and Dexter Morgan who are technically evil people we will gladly root for.
Meanwhile, a Walter White gallery is compiling in my computer. Wait for it.
Breaking Bad Season 4 Wrap Up

I’ve finally caught up with breaking bad after season 4 ended at the end of the summer and I have to say that this was probably my favorite season. I probably understand that not many of my readers are viewers of this show because it’s fairly under the radar. So to those who haven’t broken bad [a slang term to define those who have turned to making crystal meth to make money], this is a story about a genius high school chemistry teacher who has teamed up with a white trash punk to make methamphetamine to pay off his cancer bills. As similar to Weeds [a show I tried, but couldn’t finish watching], this tale is far more darker and all around badass. And as you could imagine after 4 seasons, shit has really hit the fan where our leads get mixed up with the DEA, Mexican Drug Cartel, and the biggest meth dealers in the southern United States. And as season 4 wrapped up, we’re finally given the closure we’ve been wanting [that is, until Breaking Bad’s fifth and final season comes out next year]. Read below for my take on season 4 as a whole. Major spoilers beware!
