When you’re done with the 30 hour emotional roller coaster that is Mass Effect 3, it’s quite addictive to dabble in the multiplayer. Actually, unknownst to me, you were supposed to play the multiplayer before you got to the finish to maximize your potential outcome. But regardless, I’m sure most Mass Effect 3 owners are in the stage of finishing up the campaign or at least working on it so they can focus on the multiplayer aspect. The game itself may be semi-repetitive, but there is certainly an addictive aspect that gives this mode high replay value. You essentially choose from a series of 5 or 6 races from 6 classes, each differing in their own unique way to team up with 3 others to fight a Horde Mode with sprinkled missions. Today’s post is dedicated to the favorite classes I’ve been playing as of recent.
BTW, if anyone wants to play, friend request me on PSN: Figfire. Write Bananascoop in the message box to give me a heads up.
Quarian Infiltrator (Male)
Each infiltrator is blessed with tactical cloak that allows you to temporarily hide from opponents. What makes this infiltrator different are how useful his other skills are: Arc Grenade and Tactical Scan. One is a very handy grenade to temporarily stun your foes over a large radius and the other is a damageless targetting of one enemy that allows it to take extra damage from your teammates. I like that this infiltrator plays more like a team player simply based on the Tactical Scan skill. I believe most teams should definitely have an infiltrator at all times, just in case the team gets in a hairy position and requires someone to pick them all back up.
Quarian Engineer (Female)
Probably one of the more underrated of the classes, it might be my love for Tali Zorah that made me try to stick with this class. On silver and bronze, she absolutely rules with the cryo + incinerate = cryo explosion build. Her turret isn’t as good as the Geth Turret, but it can certainly hold a hall if it needs to. Unfortunately, maxing out these skills leaves her passive skills to lack, which means she’s mince meat on gold. I usually only play her if I’m playing for fun.
Male Adept
Another underrated character, simply because they’re one of the few characters who can do my favorite skill: shockwave. The batarian sentinel also has this skill. Sure the human doesn’t have great shields, but shockwave and warp are good enough skills to get you out of the toughest pinches. Does anyone even use Singularity?
Geth Engineer
I have either ace games or horrible games when I play this character. Hunter Mode is amazing for increasing power recharge, weapon and power damage, and movement, but nearly halving your shields makes you play near Drell levels. You become as fragile as glass despite having your turret rack up kills for you [I choose offensive flame turret over shield turret]. But with nearly all your bases covered: flame turret for armor and overload for shields and barrier, you can’t go wrong with this guy.
Batarian Soldier
Probably my favorite class because of it’s balance with ‘fun to play’ and ‘wrecking havoc’. The Batarian soldier is an absolute monster. Give him a short range shotgun, and he’ll just go to town via Ballistic blades, heavy melee, or fairly high shield. I’ve solo dueled with Brutes with this guy and the feeling is just amazing when you heavy melee someone’s face off.
Let’s hear what ya’lls favorite builds are and what levels you play at…I’m a silver man at best, barely being able to handle Gold the cheap ways…
you can add me as PSN: nrop_gink
i had mass effect 3 but unfortunately my ps plus is out for now, but do you have gta v, so we could play online, i have some really crazy creations
oh and also the turian havoc, one of my personal favorites
