Something to Fear. What Comes After. March to War. These are the names of the three latest volumes on the shelf of Robert Kirkman’s The Walking Dead comic. The names themselves are fairly cryptic, marking some of what I’ve read to be incredible set ups to The Walking Dead’s most memorable villain since the Governor. Almost two years ago, I got my first two comic books for Christmas: The Walking Dead Compendium Volumes 1 & 2. They were both 1000 pages long, and I absolutely crushed through them in a manner of a week. The Walking Dead holds a close place in my heart as the first comic I’ve read and has recently inspired madness in collecting as many comics and graphic novels as possible.
It was very fitting that two years later on Christmas 2013, I obtained the three recent volumes of the The Walking Dead after the 2nd Compendium ended on. I finally got around to finishing these three and I got so gleeful that I simply had to write about all the feelings I’m feeling.
So below are summaries and feelings of what I’ve been reading through.
You’ve been warned.

Onsolought is a character from The Black Carnival series.
Onsolought is a shapeshifting shadow. He/She/It is head of The Eclipse, the most enigmatic section of The Black Carnival. A normally shy and rarely seen figure, Onsolought only shows when absolutely necessary. Onsolought takes the forms of animals, channeling and enhancing their natural shape and beauty with an array of pulsating white light. The Eclipse would normally be an incredibly dangerous section of the Black Carnival but Onsolought has been able to maintain the excess of dark energy and magics that its employees and entertainers possess. Carnival goers visit The Eclipse to test their brains and hearts against the dense atmosphere and visual & mental overstimulation. Onsolought watches over this process carefully, ensuring the dangerous employees don’t get too ‘liberal’ with their magics. This way, carnival goers enjoy the test of will while some of the carnival’s most dangerous figures are allowed to ‘release’ pent up magic.
Not much else is known about Onsolought. As the most secluded head of the Black Carnival, he shares no friendship with any of the other heads. He is often passive and holds no opinions on any and all matters. Old Ben, the previous owner of the Black Carnival, has said that if there were disaster to strike the carnival, he wouldn’t know if Onsolought would help them or watch them all fall in lack of interest.

A couple of notes about this page. Admittingly this is not one of my best pages. I was in a rush to get this done by today and I phoned in a lot of parts. The biggest law defying part of nature [from aside of the typos and unreadable font] is definitely Gillian’s right boob, which I apologize for haha. I had only noticed how off it looked as I begun shading and I admittingly said ‘fck that’ and kept it because I was on a deadline. I’ve been mismanaging my time lately, what with getting accustomed to school and such [my senior design class is killin’ me]. However I’m currently more focused on quantity of quality at the moment because I’m training myself continuously to have a mindset of not letting things go under the rug. I’m hoping it’ll teach me to manage my time better and the like.
All that being said, that concludes the prologue to the Black Carnival! Next week we’ll start the real show [or at least the cover page to the real show haha.]
At some point, I may transition from Photoshop to Manga Studio for my comic making. I’m getting bogged down quite a bit with formatting and the like and I’ve heard Manga Studio can rapidly optimize what I’m aiming for. Of course I have to learn Manga Studio, so it’ll take some time first to do so. I’m telling you this because [while I hope it doesn’t happen] there might be a break sooner or later where I test do a page in Manga Studio. Anywho, just some general news.
Thanks for reading everyone, feel free to point out all the continuity mistakes and typos below! Or if you have any real questions or concerns, feel free to throw those in as well!

Spring television is in full force and a plethora of shows have premiered while others have continued. If I had to choose between hype for Fall 2013 television and Spring 2014 television, just writing about this line up makes me believe that Spring 2014 television just might trump whatever Fall 2013 aired [and that might include Breaking Bad…]. I say this because a lot of two-season (Fall to Spring) shows begin doing their crazy stunts and plot twists during sweeps week as their seasons wrap up. This means shit hits the fan for multiple shows, sometimes all at once, creating some of the memorable television shows of the year. This week’s post will reflect on what’s been aired so far as well as a small preview of what’s to come in the following weeks.

Of all the supports in the game, Lulu is by far my favorite. She’s the second support I picked up, second to Nami, and I have since then preferred to play Lulu over just about anyone else when I get thrown into bottom lane. The range of utility in her kit + the greatest skin ever created [because poro] has resulted in enough passion to draw this piece of fan art!

Things don’t get more snowbally than this. I kind of chose Viktor as a goofy pick because I really enjoy playing him even though his lack of escape can truly get me into trouble. I’ve always had faith in his damages, and by the end of the video, one laser and transfer blew up an enemy Ahri. I should start building death fire grasp on him…

From before, I know I have said that I’m catching up on a plethora of television shows. Out of all the shows I caught up on: Luther, The League, Orphan Black, and American Horror Story, the show I was most hyped to be watching was Arrow. Of course some of these other shows are more acclaimed and might have more depth when written about, but being a DC fanboy, Arrow gets it’s own Banana Scoop post versus the consolidated reviews of all the shows I watched over this winter break that’ll be posted in a couple of weeks. So this post will generally cover the one and a half seasons I saw and includes the things I liked and the stories I’m very excited for. But first, a quick summary…

Cassidy is a character from the Black Carnival series.
Cassidy is a mechanic and ride designer. She is a part time head of Atlasland, the amusement park in the Black Carnival. Atlasland is divided into two sections, rides and games. Cassidy is in charge of the rides section, while her twin sister Cameron is in charge of the games section. The two have an ‘unrivaled rivalry’ that nearly tore down Atlasland as a whole. On the dying wish of Atlasland’s previous head, Atlas, he wished the two sisters could get along and make Atlasland the section with the most traffic. The two sisters compromised and now take turns each year being a singular head throughout the year. Their rivalry has forced them to create a better amusement park and has only done Atlasland good. Cassidy has always had the engineering mind, able to bring Cameron’s wondrous and creative ideas to life.
Though the two loathe the other, they both realize how much they need each other in memoriam of their former boss Atlas.

The Black Carnival Page 1: The Devil’s Breath
I’ve come a long way from art profiles, and seeing something I’m very passionate come to life like this is fairly incredible. The start has been bumpy and I know the art isn’t as driving as some of my previous stuff but as I keep doing these, I know I’m getting faster and more efficient. Being faster and efficient means there is time to try different techniques to improve quality.
In terms of writing and progress, I’m hoping to maintain the weekly schedule. I aleady have rough sketches of the next two pages, and I have to ink, color, shade, and add text to them. I’ve also got at least the next 12 or so pages somewhat scripted out. In terms of the big story, I have most of that on paper at least, so I’m in no shortage of material, but time constraints may occur. Please bear with me if hiatuses occur, I’ll do my best to share my story.
Anyways, enjoy the story!

Maokai is definitely one of my favorite junglers. If they only fixed his mana issue, he would be more picked. I usually only try to pick him if my mid lane isn’t mana dependent.

As some of you might know, last year I tried to create my own custom website and build it from the ground up. Thus Fig-TV.com was born and was aimed to focus on my creative and artistic endeavors. After weeks of slowly learning HTML and Adobe Dreamweaver, I was able to scrape together a very simple layout that became Fig-TV.com. Fig-TV.com was a way for me to share my art in a layout and format much freer [and more complicated] than blogging mediums like WordPress or tumblr. After a year, I learned a lot about maintaining your own website and the work that goes into such a thing. So my year of owning Fig-TV is expiring and I’ve decided to let my subscription to the domain and hosting go and let Fig-TV.com go back into the market, effectively killing the website.
Below I continue to reminisce on what it took to make Fig-TV.com work and why I had to abandon it.

Okay, this is something that’s a little weird, I admit. But let me give you some background on this incredibly fascinating game.
The majority of the story takes place at the fictional Yamaku High School for disabled children, located in an unnamed city somewhere in modern, northern Japan.[4] Hisao Nakai, a normal boy, has his life changed when a long-dormant cardiac dysrhythmia forces him to transfer to a new school after a long hospitalization. Despite his difficulties, Hisao has the opportunity to find friends and love.
from Wikipedia
Katawa Shoujou is a visual novel game type that is very popular in Japan. For non-informed peoples, visual novels are text and image based games where an image of a character is displayed on a screen while their dialogue is presented below them.
I’ve found Katawa Shoujou to be an incredibly fascinating game. The main character Hisao Nakai gets transferred to a school for ‘disabled children’ [the concept of a school being only dedicated to disabled children is one that I’m not entirely behind, but it brings up an interested premise], where he meets primarily five girls who each have a disability. These disabilities range from blindness to amputees to burn victims. The visual novel aspects essentially turns into a dating game, where these girls become complex characters that you begin to care for and understand.
Now the most fascinating aspect of this game was how it was created. Essentially birthed from the minds of 4Chan, an internet forum board infamous for hacking, posting lewd pictures, and essentially scarring your childhood, the game has been praised for incredibly high emotional depth and an shocking look into the disabilities it covers. More importantly, it respects the disabilities and treatment of the controversial material.
So I’ve decided to take a stab at the free game, released for PC, Mac, and Linux to see what all the controversy is. I agree that this is one of the more radical things I’ve done and it’s even weirder that I’m sharing it with you all, but I’m hoping I learn a thing or to as well as find out what exactly person I truly am…
Watch the Let’s Play to possibly take a look at who I really am.
