Alright guys, this is it. This is the big moment of the year that every gamer looks forward to. This is the time when Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo and a slew of other gaming companies announce their plans for the rest of the year. For those of you who don’t know, the Electronic Entertainment Expo, or E3 for short, is the most prestigious and spoiler-packed event of the year for any and all gamers. Hopefully this year we will be able to see what each company has planned for the future, and personally I’m looking forward to a Borderlands 2 spoiler as well as something pertaining to Final Fantasy XIII Versus. Anyway, if you want to keep up with the event like me, stay tuned to Kotaku.

A great part of the video game experience is a multiplayer component. A lot of the games I’m playing these days all have cooperative or competitive aspects that let me play with or against players all around the world or with my friends on my couch. Here’s a list of games I’m playing and the experiences I’m having with it.

People have declared that ‘Freaks and Geeks’ and ‘Undeclared’ helped James Franco, Seth Rogen, and many others get their amazing careers started. All of these were produced by fairly big comedy juggernaut Judd Apatow. Warming Glow has compiled 20 actors all ranging from Ben Stiller to David Cross who got their biggest breaks on a Judd Apatow produced show.

This is hilariously cruel. But it needs to be this level of sick if you have Jigsaw’s face slapped on there with his catchphrase and expect it to be reputable. A slug’s journey through this labyrinth of hell will likely kill him/her/it as it encounters the many dead ends this maze has. By the way, did anyone like the Saw movies? I liked the first couple, then it started getting a little strange. But I always found it’s creative ways in testing human limits to be interesting at best, before I cover my eyes to guard myself from what’s currently known as ‘torture porn’.

It’s not unknown that Johnny Depp has a knack for taking on extremely strange characters. The last normal think I’ve seen him do was I think Public Enemies as John Dillinger, [haven’t seen Rum Diary or The Tourist, but seriously have you? LOL, Ricky Gervais joke]. Anywho, This is a neat image that compiles 4 of his works [see if you can guess all four, it doesn’t take a genius to] into a fairly symmetrical image. I kinda wish more of these were around. If anyone can dig them up let me know, that’d be great!

Alrighty, time for another game of the week. This week I’ll be covering a somewhat oldie but definitely a goodie, Super Smash Bros. Brawl. This amazing third installment to an amazing fighting game really took the world by storm (at least those of us who got a Wii), and really brought a lot of things to the table that fans were asking for.
With an amazing roster, cool new items, and a relatively unique single player campaign, SSBB immediately became a must-have game for anyone that owned Nintendo’s latest console. I’ll be covering the ins and outs of the game as a whole, while reminiscing with you lot about how amazing this game is for friends to play around the couch. Hopefully you’ll enjoy this review to the latest game in the Super Smash Bros. series.

Some actors can only be remembered by one role in their entire careers. Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker was great, but is there anything else that he has credit to [besides voicing a very memorable Joker in the Arkham games]? Flavorwire has compiled 8 well known actors and the roles that will follow them for the rest of their [and our] lives.

This is a really colorful image that pitches Aang, the master of the four elements [as stated in the popular Nickelodeon series Avatar: the Last Airbender] against the master of the periodic table of elements, Dmitri Mendeleev. It’s quite hilarious in the way when science and popular culture clashes. In truth, only nerds, engineers, and geeks will truly understand this. And since I fall under all three of those categories, this tickles me greatly.

So, in this hefty read, the author sums up the list of the things promised during the E3 2011 Nintendo conference. As you can see, there are a lot of things that Nintendo managed to keep. Actually, after a quick scan, I don’t think I found a promise that Nintendo DIDN’T keep. It’s really nice to see a video game giant like Nintendo sticking to their promises and giving us something without the dreaded ‘delay’ press conference. Read up on what exactly was delivered, and gauge for yourself just how professional a company like Nintendo is.

Timeout is celebrating the best film fools. Men and women who are extremely arrogant and ignorant in real life get on my nerves, but when they’re on the screen messing with other people, it can make a very pleasant movie. My favorite fools are the incompetent leads in many of the Coen Brother films who make frequent appearances in these lists. Be sure to leave your favorite film fool in the comment below.

James Hance has a very large collection of art. He loves combining two different universes. Here we have an obvious combinations of George Lucas’s Star Wars and Pixar’s Up. Pixar’s most adorable and heart breaking couple are parallel to the lovable couple of Leia and Solo. I don’t think Carl is as much of a scoundrel as Han is, but maybe Leia softened him to be like him in their golden years. James Hance also has some very cool mixes with Han and Chewie with Pooh and Christopher. Be sure to check out his other art as hit website.

Well this makes me feel flabby. I’m not near overweight, nor am I very cut. But I feel as though I wish I could be like this. Living life to the philosophy of one of the greatest martial artists would not be a wasted life. Maybe I should just roll over and die now for prioritizing writing this blog than making my body like a temple. Regardless, I love this kind of story. It’s simple, the message is clear, and it’s equally invigorating to give me the motivation to actually do something. Could I run three miles in twenty two minutes? Not likely, but it’s a goal definitely worth striving for.

Rooney Mara is one of my favorite actresses. She was adorable in The Social Network and she absolutely killed it as Lisbeth Salander in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. I think that’s where I truly first ‘fell in love’ with her. The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo’s Lisbeth Salander is a girl I fell in love with in Steig Larsson adaptation. There’s something about her distinct bone structure and her beautiful take one of the most interesting characters ever created. So I had a little fun compiling this fairly large gallery of some of my favorite shots of Rooney Mara.

Time’s entertainment section reacted well to Anchorman’s sequel. They decided to compile the best Will Ferrell movies. We’re all very excited for Ferrell’s certain brand of comedy. If you haven’t seen all these movies, I highly recommend you do so.

Disney Princesses are an object of beauty and perfection. It’s natural that they’d be featured on the cover of Disney Vogue. It’s actually kinda neat how deatiled the magazine itself is. I can’t read the artist or else I’d definitely credit them. Someone please holla if you know!

For having 8 different story lines, focusing on one or two is pretty bold. But last night’s episode: Blackwater showed just how expansive this series could be if they were given even more time and money. Penned by George R.R. Martin himself, there was a clear coherence amongst all the chaos, and it was great that they found a better medium between the books and the series. There were a number of powerful scenes, intense action, and gore that filled last nights episode. Actions that will affect next week episodes and the rest of the season to come. Last night essentially followed two story arcs clashing: Tyrion and Davos/Stannis as they are finally at war with each other. Click below to get some of the highlights.

So if you guys haven’t seen it yet, or if you aren’t in the loop as far as technology goes, LG has released a new five inch 1080P, 440ppi display, and it looks gorgeous. Despite not having the most pixel density, this small screen boasts other amazing specs such as wide viewing angles and fast response times. The article continues with a bunch of stuff from the PR section and a lot of other information about the nice screen, so check it out if you get the time. With the display going on sale later on in the year, I don’t think it will be long until we see it on smartphones or other paraphernalia.
