Comic Con was a week or two ago, and a lot of awesome stuff was revealed and announced.  Amongst them was the casting announcement of several new characters to be featured in Game of Thrones Season 3 aka Storm of Swords.  I absolutely love seeing some of these characters come alive to see if they fit the version I created in my head.  Especially versus the how I originally was able to see them in season 1 before reading the books.  Seeing the dude from Narnia be Jojen is a pretty good nail on the head, as well as Bryndon Tully.  I was especially impressed with Melisandre and Davos Seaworthy casting, and I’m sure once the make up and costumes are on, I won’t be able to tell the difference at all.  It’s all very exciting.  As for an update with Dance with Dragons, I’m nearing the last 100 pages, a review is scheduled for next week!

Can’t believe we have to wait an entire year for season 3!!!

Sometimes you can’t help but notice and say, “Hey I’ve seen that guy in at least 3 other movies this year”.  I like to think for most actors that doing one year should be more than enough to pay off that year’s bills and still live in a luxurious sense.  But then I see some actors that do 2 or 3 movies in one year, I think to myself: not only are you loaded, but you must be absolutely exhausted.  How are they able to deliver such powerful performances when they’re doubling, tripling, or even quadrupling characters in one period of time.  Forget Daniel Day-Lewis [who takes years for him to get into character], get these peoples Oscars or some sort of award quickly, because they definitely deserve it for their versatility.  So below is a list of actors who did multiple movies in the same year and were able to deliver awesome performances in them.  Be sure to remind me of the many that I missed in the comments section below!

Some directors like working with actors so much in one film, that they’ll ask them to be in another one.  And another one.  And another one.  Soon enough they almost look inseparable like the above image where if you weren’t paying attention you might confuse Tim Burton with Sweeny Todd.  Haha, maybe that’s not what it’s like in all cases, but there are certainly a number of pairs of actors and directors that like each other so much, that the number of films they’ve collaborated on [non-sequel] demonstrates that they’re probably more than just co-workers…See a list of several of these pairings below.

Some actors can only be remembered by one role in their entire careers.  Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker was great, but is there anything else that he has credit to [besides voicing a very memorable Joker in the Arkham games]?  Flavorwire has compiled 8 well known actors and the roles that will follow them for the rest of their [and our] lives.

Hit Fix has compiled a very interesting list about 21 actors and directors who of which they claim have his their peaks and are a downward spiral to the Hollywood Industry blackhole.  Some of them are very much out the of the industry these days: Eddie Murphy, Lindsay Lohan, etc., but there are a few who are at least pumping out a few decent things here and there and I have faith in: Farrelly Brothers, Keanu Reeves, Uma Thurman etc.  Let me know who’s worth saving in the comments.

Ain’t gonna lie, ever since Jean Dujardin did The Artist, he’s proven himself a very charming and talented actor.  In this Funny Or Die original, they talk about how European actors doing very famous villain roles after they first make contact with the Hollywood blockbuster and name examples to qualify their statement [Spanish: Javier Bardem, German: Cristolph Waltz, French: Jean Dujardin].  Anywho, the rest of the video shows him casting for upcoming action movies.  I love actors who do Funny or Die because all it really does is make fun of who they are, and actors that don’t take themselves seriously enough to do them make them more likable.  Anywho, check out the video above to laugh and fall in love with Jean all over again.
