I’m not a big video series guy. Too much commitment. The only one I’ve ever anxiously anticipated is Between Two Ferns with Zach Galifianakis (co-created by our good buddy Scott Aukerman!). It is the funniest web series that ever series’d and Funny or Die’s greatest contribution to the internet. These are indisputable facts.
Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis went wild to campaign for their new movie The Campaign. They did a number of viral videos and witty intervews like debating Jon Stewart and Jon Hamm and reading Twilight together. Here is another video about them debating children posted by Funny Or Die. It has classic Galifianakis and Ferrell humor, but including the kids is a nice touch for insanity.
Time’s entertainment section reacted well to Anchorman’s sequel. They decided to compile the best Will Ferrell movies. We’re all very excited for Ferrell’s certain brand of comedy. If you haven’t seen all these movies, I highly recommend you do so.
The Anchorman announcement on Conan a couple of weeks ago signaled quite a harmonious uproar of excitement and dorkgasms and douchegasms alike on the internet. And then with a released poster of 4 pairs of stylish shoes managed to get us even more excited. But then they also released an alternative trailer with a little tweak of lines. I had difficulty choosing which one I loved more, so I included both. You’ll see the other one below.
But in probably bigger news, The Great Gatsby released its first trailer the other day, featuring a very interesting look at the 1920 [which interestingly look like a steampunk version of what the universe was in the Speed Racer movie was set in]. Leonardo DiCaprio as usual looks like he’s killin’ his role, although an interesting comment was made on the Youtube video hailing how Michael Fassbender should’ve been Gatsy, an idea I could completely get behind. Regardless, it’s an interesting trailer and is expected to be released December 25th, 2012. You know what else is released December 25th? Django Unchained. Where’s the trailer to that movie?
Funny Or Die is a website created and partially maintained by Will Ferrell, Adam McKay and their production company. It serves as a site very similar to CollegeHumor, that serves as an entertainment website for its readers. On occasion CollegeHumor has featured celebrities that contribute to its already popular library. But the up that Funny Or Die has is that it even more frequently utilizes A-listers to make videos that are absolutely hysterical with the 1st class production value. So I’ve compiled some of my favorite videos from Funny or Die below. I’m sure long after this post is done, they will continue to pump out more and more videos. Most of these videos are un-embeddable, so most likely, you’ll have to jump over to Youtube to actually watch them. Rergardless, enjoy below.
