I’m not huge into politics.  And now that it’s a major election year, being into politics is a really big deal.  I hate that I have to choose from such crazy partisans and that who I do have an opinion for, there are people who exist solely to blast my opinion out of the water with a bombardment of condescending facts that they likely heard once when they flipped through the Fox channel.  Regardless, whenever politics are mashed up with pop culture, I tend to have a stronger love for such things.  Today I compiled a neat gallery of .gifs that compare 2012 Republican Nominee Mitt Romney and Channel 4 Newscaster Brick Tamland.  Political hilarity ensues.

Timeout is celebrating the best film fools.  Men and women who are extremely arrogant and ignorant in real life get on my nerves, but when they’re on the screen messing with other people, it  can make a very pleasant movie.  My favorite fools are the incompetent leads in many of the Coen Brother films who make frequent appearances in these lists.  Be sure to leave your favorite film fool in the comment below.

Time’s entertainment section reacted well to Anchorman’s sequel.  They decided to compile the best Will Ferrell movies.  We’re all very excited for Ferrell’s certain brand of comedy.  If you haven’t seen all these movies, I highly recommend you do so.

The Anchorman announcement on Conan a couple of weeks ago signaled quite a harmonious uproar of excitement and dorkgasms and douchegasms alike on the internet.  And then with a released poster of 4 pairs of stylish shoes managed to get us even more excited.  But then they also released an alternative trailer with a little tweak of lines.  I had difficulty choosing which one I loved more, so I included both.  You’ll see the other one below.

But in probably bigger news, The Great Gatsby released its first trailer the other day, featuring a very interesting look at the 1920 [which interestingly look like a steampunk version of what the universe was in the Speed Racer movie was set in].  Leonardo DiCaprio as usual looks like he’s killin’ his role, although an interesting comment was made on the Youtube video hailing how Michael Fassbender should’ve been Gatsy, an idea I could completely get behind.  Regardless, it’s an interesting trailer and is expected to be released December 25th, 2012.  You know what else is released December 25th?  Django Unchained.   Where’s the trailer to that movie?

I was just goofing around on Youtube the other day [who doesn’t do such things], and I found this rather hilarious audition tape of Steve Carell auditioning for the role of Brick in Anchorman, who he later immortalized.  Watch the clip and as one Youtuber said in the comment section, “this is better than the actual part in the movie.”

Blooper Reels are hilarious at the end of movies because they demonstrate what actors are like behind the cameras.  I feel as though it would be impossible to not laugh at some of the jokes they come up with, and I felt right.  A lot of the jokes that make it into the movie were originally laughed at and it was probably only after a dozen takes did they regain the composure to make the final take.  Below I’ve compiled 5 fantastic blooper reels along with a bonus deleted scene that is pretty much a blooper reel.

There’s nothing like watching a movie when the cast seemingly spontaneously breaks out into song and dance.  This is especially welcome when you’re not watching a musical and weren’t expected that to happen in the first place.  Here, I have compiled a video list of awesome moments where the cast broke into song and beat when we likely were least expecting it.  Hit the jump for the musical bits, and don’t forget to slap me on the hands for missing one you love.
