Some actors can only be remembered by one role in their entire careers. Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker was great, but is there anything else that he has credit to [besides voicing a very memorable Joker in the Arkham games]? Flavorwire has compiled 8 well known actors and the roles that will follow them for the rest of their [and our] lives.

I disagree with Clint Eastwood, Sean Connery, Christopher Lee and Robert Pattinson. Clint Eastwood has a vast career, and Dirty Harry is just a role, I think. Sean Connery has done so much… he’s not even my favorite 007, since I think he got more hansome as he got older. Christopher Lee sure is THE Dracula, but he’s also Saruman. And Saruman is Saruman. As for Robert Pattinson, it’s too early to say, plus I still see him as Cedric Diggory. He’s a good actor (although many haters will disagree), and he has time to do other roles. Now, I’d include Gary Coleman, Carrie Fisher and Macauley Culkin, for example.
Interesting list. I don’t agree w/ Clint Eastwood because I do believe he escaped the Harry Callahan character. As for Sean Connery, though he is closely associated w/ James Bond, he was rediscovered after “The Untouchables”. Also, since multiple actors have played Bond he doesn’t have a monopoly on the association w/ the character. Depending on your age, there are a lot of people that would name Roger Moore first if asked who played James Bond.
