So I stumbled upon a rather interesting collection of artwork featuring famous animated characters re-imagined as zombies. While keeping most of their cartoon glory, they have been re-purposed with a rather sinister objective. They now exist solely to munch on your brains. While not all that scary, I found the artwork to be incredibly well done and very thematic in some places. For example, Buzz Lightyear lacking blood and having wiring instead or Master Chief seemingly infected by the flood parasites. It’s an incredibly interesting album worth checking out. Some of the characters are obviously named incorrectly as you’ll soon find out, but I won’t rag on the author of the article for his misdemeanor as I truly enjoyed the art.

J.K. Rowling vs. George R. R. Martin
Posted in Television, tagged Game of Thrones, George R.R. Martin, Harry Potter, j.k. rowling, song of ice and fire, vs, Winter Is Coming on June 18, 2012| 3 Comments »
This lovely images portrays to heavyweights in the fantasy fiction genre and their stances on ‘killing off characters’. In one corner we have J.K. Rowling who’s most famous for the Harry Potter series. And in the other corner is George R.R. Martin, writer of the Song of Ice and Fire series. For those who are familiar with both, you don’t really need me to understand the very hilarious joke here.
But to the interested, but uneducated in book culture. J.K. Rowling is referencing her quote regarding how difficult it is to kill of some ‘major’ characters in her book series like, SPOILERS —————Snape, Sirius, etc. ————————END SPOILERS. Then we have George R.R. Martin who gives a mocking look because the man LOVES killing off major [see how I don’t use quotes there] characters.
For the curious, I’m having trouble finishing Feast for Crows, I’m currently starting the Soiled Knight’s story arc which is about a third or more in. It’s moving awfully slow compared to the very hectic and awesome Sword of Storms. Does it get better? I’m hoping so…
What if Hermione was Sorted in a Different House?

We all love Hermione Granger and Emma Watson. What we have hear is a rather interesting take if she was sorted into a different house. I suppose the concept here is that based on the house, a certain type of personality or persona is established. It’s no stranger that most people from Slytherin are jerks and slimy, and to assume that it would apply to most isn’t a far stretch given their track records. So this image features subtly different attributes into Hermione Granger if she were sorted in a different house. I personally like the kindness in Ravenclaw Hermione, and I am a sucker for brown hair/blue eyes, but I don’t mind the spunky attitude of Slytherin Hermione. Then again, Hufflepuff Hermione looks like she was kissed by fire and the alliteration is oh too sweet. And then classic Gryffindor Hermion is just as beautiful. I’ll take them all please.

The Twins Don’t Judge

I’m not entirely sure about the mythology of the Harry Potter Universe, and I’m sure you die hard fans could possibly debunk this theory, but here’s the set up to the meme. The Marauder’s Map can show the name of pretty much anyone in Hogwarts castle, regardless if they’re animagus or human. So the idea of Peter Pettigrew showing up on the map was a pretty big deal when the map came into the hands of Harry. We know now that Peter Pettigrew was Ron’s rat all along. But the real questions is that for years, George and Fred have held the map in their hands and used it to navigate the castle. Surely they saw the following: their brother Ron and a mysterious man named Peter Pettigrew together nearly all the time on the map, especially at night. Sure the Maruader’s Map doesn’t explicitly tell what two people are doing, but surely one can insinuate something that happens nearly all the time.
Another hole in Rowling’s universe? Or quite possibly a disgusting truth to the two twins. HP still blowing my mind after it’s techincally over.
Morning Banana Oatmeal: 6 Graphic Implications of Events in the Harry Potter Universe

If you are a Harry Potter fan reader, you will either do one of three things when you read this article: 1) refute everything this article has to say and have the text to support your claims. 2) be horrified in the universe you’ve come to love and the implications some of your favorite scenes truly had or 3) Be in absolute awe that you never thought of that yourself. This article contains the harsh truths of the Harry Potter universe. There are more than a few people who wish they were wizards in this world, but after reading this article, it’s hard for me to say the same. With the entire world being magic, it seems as though my life would be fairly boring if I didn’t know Harry Potter and was just an average wizard forced to clean owl poop. My favorite point is he sincere lack of education if you’re not an Auror.

Harry Potter is Still Blowing My Mind after a Year

I don’t take credit for this image, nor do I know who originally made it, but if this didn’t blow your mind the first time, please read it again to try and fully understand it. It took me a while to fully grasp it and the whole ‘Deathly Hallows’ symbol in the background really didn’t kick in until the last minute. But in all honesty, I was blown away with this revelation. The forum where I got this from sparked a huge debate whether Dumbledore is the one who died for a love one and not Snape. I’m not going to get into the details because it gets pretty hairy between Rowling interpretations. But I don’t care who you put in there, because two concrete selections out of three is more than enough to completely blow my mind. So imma let you guys soak it in a little more and then you can start freaking out as much as I did.
