Watch them all here

From Uproxx:

I’m not a big video series guy. Too much commitment. The only one I’ve ever anxiously anticipated is Between Two Ferns with Zach Galifianakis (co-created by our good buddy Scott Aukerman!). It is the funniest web series that ever series’d and Funny or Die’s greatest contribution to the internet. These are indisputable facts.

Best of Between 2 Ferns

Very similar to yesterday’s post regarding Mike O’Brien getting famous celebrities to do crazy things in his closet, Zach ‘Alan’ Galifianakis gets famous A-listers to sit down in his garage to talk for a bit.  According to Galifianakis himself, he apparently calls up celebs and asks them to leave their lawyers and guards behind him and sit down with him in a garage to do a short interview.  What happens is that Galifianakis himself becomes a disgusting and awkward host to the unsuspecting celebs which forces them into gleefully uncomfortable situations. Some actors maintain their game face and play along while others get completely upset and storm off.  It’s all staged of course, but that doesn’t take away how awesome both this host and the interviewees are.  I always believed Sean Penn to have a major stick up his ass, but after he did this, I kinda like him a lot better now…even if he did the interview with that persona, you have to admit that agreeing to do this was completely unlike his character.  Check out my favorites below!

The internet always blows my mind.  When I stumbled upon this amazing find, I nearly sh!t my pants.  For all of you raised in the 90s, or raised kids in the 90s [I think that’s what my target demographic is], you more than likely stumbled upon both of these shows: Captain Planet and Magic School Bus.  Both shows employed children in supporting roles to a magical and mythical idol, Captain Planet and Ms. Frizzle, respectively.  Little did we know the the time these shows were set in.  But when you look at these two images, it’s clear one was a prequel to the other.  All we need now is the dark back story about how Ms. Frizzle was hell bent on finding 5 elemental rings to summon an all powerful force that had the ability to turn the entire planet green and into a forest, killing millions in the name of Mother Earth.  So she sent her kids to each recover a ring.  When they recovered all 5 and brought them to her, she tried to kill them to harvest the rings.  Threatened by their once insightful leader, kids banded together and ironically ran over her with the Magic School Bus.  Vowing to completely forget the trauma that happened, they burned the Bus afterwards.  Since then, industrial leaders have forever targetted the kids as green terrorists.  This in turn have made the kids use the rings to summon forth Captain Planet himself to defeat the industrial leaders.  Ms. Frizzle’s plan has succeeded.  A very relavent Funny or Die video after the jump.

Ain’t gonna lie, ever since Jean Dujardin did The Artist, he’s proven himself a very charming and talented actor.  In this Funny Or Die original, they talk about how European actors doing very famous villain roles after they first make contact with the Hollywood blockbuster and name examples to qualify their statement [Spanish: Javier Bardem, German: Cristolph Waltz, French: Jean Dujardin].  Anywho, the rest of the video shows him casting for upcoming action movies.  I love actors who do Funny or Die because all it really does is make fun of who they are, and actors that don’t take themselves seriously enough to do them make them more likable.  Anywho, check out the video above to laugh and fall in love with Jean all over again.
