Comic Con was a week or two ago, and a lot of awesome stuff was revealed and announced. Amongst them was the casting announcement of several new characters to be featured in Game of Thrones Season 3 aka Storm of Swords. I absolutely love seeing some of these characters come alive to see if they fit the version I created in my head. Especially versus the how I originally was able to see them in season 1 before reading the books. Seeing the dude from Narnia be Jojen is a pretty good nail on the head, as well as Bryndon Tully. I was especially impressed with Melisandre and Davos Seaworthy casting, and I’m sure once the make up and costumes are on, I won’t be able to tell the difference at all. It’s all very exciting. As for an update with Dance with Dragons, I’m nearing the last 100 pages, a review is scheduled for next week!
Can’t believe we have to wait an entire year for season 3!!!
its just frustrating that i would have to watch season 1 and 2 again next year to remind myself of the series
Rewatching the series is never a bad thing lol. I still do it sometimes just for kicks. It’s never a bore haha.
yah u are kinda rite though and also i read the blog about the negative review for the DKR i think the review was pretty shallow and lacked concrete plothole evidence
The author of that article and I had a discussion regarding the mood he was in when he wrote that. He was at a a point where he felt we shouldnt of been celebrating anything and therefore analyzed the film in that manner. I personally loved the film and I included his review as a means to spark conversation and debate. Your opinion on the matter is noted and I agree with you that not all of the points were solid, but it’s always nice to see the perspective of someone who doesn’t necessarily agree with yours.
i just recently uploaded my own review of TDKR. I would like you to please go through it and comment about it and share it
I skimmed over it, but since I’m at work I’ll have to wait on commenting it. Looks good so far, though Tom Hardys credit to This Means War is an understatement to his career so far. Watch Bronson or Warrior. Those are movies worth quoting a reference to.
Just a skin, I’ll go back for more and comment eventually.
thanks for the brief comment, I also referred to This Means War because it was his latest act. I would also like to ask you to help publicize my blog cause i have not been getting enough press. you should also check the new trailer for assassin’s creed 3 and the deadpool video game.
Haha, we would all love to get more viewership, but that’s all part of the game. Something like this doesn’t happen overnight, I see you’ve been blogging since january, but I’ve been at this game for over a year and a half. I started on a tumbler moved to WordPress and since then upgraded to my own domain name. And im only batting around 100 views a day. Stuff takes time to build an audience. Me linking you once or twice won’t get you the long term results you desire. I’ll do what I can for you, but I think more advice on how to blog smartly and optimize your blog would benefit you more. Which I’ll gladly write up for you…likely in a blog post! Keep in touch hybrid books, I understand your dilemma and will help as much as I can within reason.
Thanks a lot, that has clearly out a lot from my mind. I am still a neophyte in the blogging business anyway. keep up the good work especially the weekend funnies, I love them.
cant wait to see mackenzie in it
The only good thing about the year long wait is that it gives me time to re-read the books. I’m looking forward to your ADWD review. After you finish there’s one chapter from Book 6 on George R.R. Martin’s site you might be interested in.
Patrick, you disappoint me!! Jojen Reed is NOT the dude from Narnia, but the ex-little dude from Nanny McPhee and Love, Actually: Thomas Brodie-Sangster… In other news, I love the casting!!
Oof, you’re right. I should’ve done my research. He just looked so similar to Edmund from Narnia….Thanks for the correction! At first I wasn’t sure why they didn’t show other characters like Mance and them, but apparently they had been announced for a while now…Why is a year so far from now!
Yeah, I know what you mean… HBO can’t film fast enough and George Martin write fast enough… I’m Addicted to those books!! I’ll read them again as soon as I finish The Night Eternal…. yeah….
And they’ll divide book 3 in TWO!!! The Horror!!!
A two pronged notion. For one, they’ll be able to capture a closer essence of the book and on the other hand, it’ll take twice as long to get to the finale. Gruhhhhh, so long.
Yes, the second is what I dread. I HATE waiting that long.
