I decided to color the sketch I posted the other day. It now serves as my twitter profile picture. I decided to go with purple highlights to Maximillian’s black hair. I’m currently picturing him as a very casual dresser. Bright, contrasting colors always accompanied with sweatpants. It adds an unassuming aura to him.

Maximillian Reily

Here’s my first official drawing fresh off the new scanner I got! I decided to pencil and ink Maximillian a ‘supporting’ character in my Black Carnival series. He’s the charismatic cousin to Gillian Akers and the only other survivor of her family’s massacre. He takes an optimistic approach to life, thanking the powers that be for passing through their trials.
That being said, he won’t take his fortune for granted. His cheerful demeanor disguises his resolute nature only to those who have just met him.
Art wise my shading is incredibly inconsistent as I have no idea what I’m doing. Though I’m pretty happy with how it turned out.
Here’s what he used to look like when the idea was first conceived.

A speed drawing of Deena, Champion of Ash. She was my hollowed Dark Souls III character. She killed every boss, helped many kill theirs, and is a thunder throwing scythe wielder.

A project I didn’t get around to finishing. Was gonna do my Champion of Ash, Deena, to celebrate me finishing Dark Souls III. I experimented with a drawing style and it kind of blew up in my face. Distance from the project and moving past Dark Souls III kinda made me feel uninspired to finish. Decided to post what I started, even though what I envisioned originally was a lot more intricate.

Absolutely adored Judy Hopps, so I had to draw her! The left was my first go and while it’s all sass, I wanted some optimistic Judy, so I went again for another more happier picture.

Messed around with drawing some Asher Forrester. I think I gave up. I wasn’t really happy with how it was coming out, but I still loved Asher Forrester.

Like the Gillian drawing, I’ve been messing around with some redesigns of my Black Carnival characters. Decided to go with a more leather jerkin feel. Drawing the carbine was fun. This was also the first drawing I experimented with Sakura Micro Pens. They are fantastic.

In celebration of Halloween and CBS’s Supergirl, I drew Kara with some holiday flair!
The pilot was a little rough (what pilot isn’t), but I’m sure we’ll be on track for another great superhero tv show.

Drew Joy from Inside Out.
I loved the movie, character, and this drawing. Her design is so great and I tried to capture as much of it as I could.

It’s a couple of months late, but here’s a drawing of my hunter from Bloodborne. With a strength and arcane build, my hunter threw out Logarius’ Wheel with a vengeance and sprayed down her enemies with Rosmarinus. After all the bloodshed, a cup of tea will help calm the nerves.

Black Carnival #10
Gillian, Flynt, and Marraine team up to take down the Abomination. But will their combined efforts be enough?
With every page, I’m getting more and more confident as I experiment with what works best and looks cool. I change styles often within this page, but I’m really happy with the results. I plan on working on one non Black Carnival drawing before I get into #11. I’m really excited about this one as it’s VERY overdue.
Let’s just say things are gonna get Bloody.

Happy Birthday [gurgle] Morty or Whatever

A drawing I did for a friend. I caught up on Rick and Morty earlier this spring in response to the hype for season 2 coming later this July. He mentioned that a cross over between Game of Thrones and Rick and Morty might be cool. I thought it would be cool as well.
More art on the way. I know it’s been just videos lately, but I’m pretty excited about these next projects, so stay tuned!
