Alright, prepare for this big block of text. While I would love to spice this post up with a lot of awesome pictures and really cool stuff, I feel like it would detract from the overall point of this review. This is meant to be my own opinion of it, and shouldn’t really matter to you if you disagree with me. That being said, this is a really well done DLC and I have thoroughly enjoyed playing through each and every comedic moment it had to offer. From the witty and interesting Captain Scarlett to the creepy and rather strange Herbert, this DLC had be wanting more and more (at least, up until I had to start fighting more Hyperion robots. It would be nice to note at this point that while I did beat the DLC, I have yet to try and take down Master Gee, so I can’t really give you a good amount of detail concerning their drops. I can, however, give you an idea of how Hyperius is, and how much I enjoy the new tier of guns. Shall we move on to the review?

I’m going to apologize for this wall of text with a lack of images, as I couldn’t really find anything that I hadn’t used already. After quite a few hours logged on the Mass Effect 3 multiplayer since the release of the Earth DLC, I can say that I’m pleasantly surprised by the amount of effort and new material pumped into this installment of content. Thus far, I have only unlocked 4 of the 6 new classes and 2 of the 3 new guns, with a lot of additional gear bonuses and weapon mods that I won’t begin to tabulate. The new maps each give a sense of impending doom with reapers falling from the sky in each, although I have to say that Vancouver is rather massive for a Mass Effect multiplayer map. It was incredibly large and hard to really get a grasp of while playing. Anyway, let’s move along to covering the details of each part of the DLC, starting with characters.

With the new DLC just under a week from launch, I figured I’d take the time to outline the basics of what we’ll be getting come next Tuesday. For those hardcore Mass Effect multiplayer fans out there, there is hope. With the new Earth DLC we should be getting a slew of new content that will cater to everyone. With a new character for each class, a few new maps, and a few new guns, this update will keep the battlefields interesting for a long time to come. I’m personally very excited for the upcoming patch, and hopefully after reading the details of this article, you will be too. The character information as well as their skill lists will be included at the end of the article. (more…)

If you’ve finished the Mass Effect 3 campaign, you know that the extended cut was released last Tuesday for US and Canada to possibly fill any plot holes some [all] players wanted.  There have been an entire mess of theories arising, the most popular being the indoctrination theory, which in short was the idea that the entire final 30 minutes or so were simply an illusion and that you were in Shepherds mind fighting of metaphors for indoctrination.  Was that Bioware’s actual intention?  Does Shepherd still have an enemy to fight?  If you haven’t read up on the theories yet or are just curious to what my take on the series is, I suggest you continue reading below.  But beware, if you’re still interested in picking up the series, mass [lol] spoilers ahead.
