Not completely entertainment, tv, or movie related. That’s okay, this is still a very interesting video. I’d imagine 50 more viral videos just sprang up in the nine minutes it takes to finish that video, but regardless, this is still an excellent way to waste 10 minutes of your life.

Morning Oatmeal: 10 Bad Movies Considered Flops Aren’t Actually Flops

The films listed here weren’t received well at the domestic box office. They also weren’t rated very well by critics. Both of these aspects usually make movies flops. But with a low production budget and large world box office, these movies actually aren’t considered flops.
The Superbowl Movie Spot I Cared For
Posted in Movies, tagged Avengers, Comedy, Entertainment, Film, Movies, news, Reviews, Superbowl, television, TV on February 8, 2012| 3 Comments »
Sure there were quite a few movie spots in the Superbowl, but none as awesome as the Avengers. And by awesome, I meant explodey. My gosh they’re really selling the whole action movie. I sure hope this thing isn’t a loud bust, or else I and tons of others will be really upset. Regardless, the classic Tony Stark humor is always appreciated and once again we ended on the Hulk screaming. Literally, almost every Avengers teaser ends with the Hulk screaming.

Cracked took some of the most bad-ass moments that movie heroes have accomplished and pinned them on pure luck. This actually makes a lot of sense and is hilarious. As ever, I love Cracked for finding the finest moments in movies.
NBC Goes for Broke with the Superbowl

The superbowl was last weekend, and I know I didn’t do much to hype it up. By hyping it up, I meant talking about commercials and the sneak previews for movies coming down the tube. Here we have the gracious network host of the Superbowl, NBC, promoting themselves during this time of absurd viewership.
I wrote the following message on the facebook wall of a friend who promoted this clip for Community’s likely return:
NBC is quite the disaster. They put all their eggs in that commercial. And it’s still an ugly looking basket. The last place major network uses its lucky break aka the Superbowl to promote everything it had to offer. Which probably only includes NBC Comedy Thursday and maybe SNL in my opinion. Whitney and Chelsea Handler be damned and all the other TV shows that I and America didn’t recognize. #Sixseasonsandamovie
I’m mainly upset for the whole ‘let’s put Community on hiatus’ deal, but let’s honest. Besides NBC Thursday night comedy and possibly SNL, I, as a decent representation of what the 18-25 demographic of an average American, do not recognize nor do I care about any of those shows. Their dramas easily lose out to other big networks like Fox and ABC, and even a smaller network like F/X has some seriously formidable programs. Soak up your fame as you had it NBC, as the boycott on your network continues as long as Whitney and that Chelsea Handler show lives and Community remains on hiatus.

As I finish up the Great Gatsby in preparations for Baz Luhrmann’s adaptation starring the awesome Leonardo DeCaprio, there are a couple of other books I want to start and finish for potential movies or general interest. I’m not a humungous reader because I honestly don’t have the time, but if the story is good enough, I’ll easily forsake school work to finish it up, like for what I did for the Millennium Trilogy. Anyways, here’s the 5 books I have so far queued for 2012.

Channing Tatum is Hosting SNL this Weekend

I don’t know what to make of this. I’ve personally seen probably none of his movies. If I did, he was probably a supporting character or an extra. The most I know about him was that he starred in some eagle movie that looked like Centurion and that he’s playing a male stripper. I wouldn’t call him a household name, so his hosting SNL can bring one of two things: 1) he actually has comedic chops and took his job as host seriously enough to actually put an effort. 2) Be a January Jones and deliver one of the worst episodes ever. And judging by his promo with the loathesome Fred Armisen…well shit man, good luck to ya.
Next week, Zooey Deschanel hosts. Another pro/con sceneario next week..
[Update] If you didn’t get the January Jones joke, it’s because she once hosted SNL, and it was a complete disaster. Completely void of any laughs.

I’ve only seen half of these movies, which I’m fairly ashamed for. Regardless, they’ve compiled a decent list, but I honestly can’t say I completely agree with them. First Class, Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Moneyball, a lot of those that are nominated for best picture should be included in here. Regardless, everyone is entitled to their opinions.

A couple of months ago, I posted an article containing a couple of awesome monologue scenes. I used the term monologue to describe a part when an actor usually has a lot of lines to say without anyone interrupting or stealing his thunder. While the list I created was good, I picked up a couple more from my readers as well as a couple of other sources. Here, I’ve compiled their respective Youtube videos that can be seen below.

Oh sweet Jesus, I think my childhood just got raped in the face. This video depicts a very disturbing take on Nickolodeon’s Rugrats. Funny or Die originally created the video and all credit goes to them. But since Funny Or Die’s video embedder doesn’t cooporate with wordpress well, I’ve found a third party that hosted the video on Youtube. Enjoy.
