I’ve posted more than once [Sleeping and Villain Auditions] about how much I really like Jean Dujardin. Here he is doing another clip for Funny or Die about him advertising cigarettes. It’s not as funny as the other two, but I still think it worth while.

The Twins Don’t Judge

I’m not entirely sure about the mythology of the Harry Potter Universe, and I’m sure you die hard fans could possibly debunk this theory, but here’s the set up to the meme. The Marauder’s Map can show the name of pretty much anyone in Hogwarts castle, regardless if they’re animagus or human. So the idea of Peter Pettigrew showing up on the map was a pretty big deal when the map came into the hands of Harry. We know now that Peter Pettigrew was Ron’s rat all along. But the real questions is that for years, George and Fred have held the map in their hands and used it to navigate the castle. Surely they saw the following: their brother Ron and a mysterious man named Peter Pettigrew together nearly all the time on the map, especially at night. Sure the Maruader’s Map doesn’t explicitly tell what two people are doing, but surely one can insinuate something that happens nearly all the time.
Another hole in Rowling’s universe? Or quite possibly a disgusting truth to the two twins. HP still blowing my mind after it’s techincally over.
Damon Clause for a Cause

It’s no where near Christmas, but I’ve been holding this Matt Damon clip of him supporting water preservation. He’s always been known as a staunch liberal, and if it means he does these hilarious clips where he interacts with kids, I’m all for it.

Jean Dujarin Sleeping On People

into this:
This is a hilarious meme that came from an image of Oscar winner Jean Dujardin sleeping on George Clooney. Now people are pasting this image on all sorts of unnecessary stuff further supporting, ‘the internet does things for no apparent reason’. I love Dujardin and all his charm and I probably wouldn’t be far off if he enjoyed these as much as I did . Check the tumblr dedicated to this here. I’ve compiles some favorites below.
Pooh Bear and Friends are More Troubled than You Think

What happens when you’re an adult over analyzes a childhood show? Well it seems that a psychologist took another look at the Poo Bear Crew and diagnosed them with very reasonable mental illnesses. Some are more obvious like Eeyore’s depression. But the rest of them are fairly crazy, if even a stretch. Decide for yourselves.
Morning Banana Oatmeal: Party Movie Characters to Rage With

God, it seems like high schoolers in movies always knew how to throw the best parties. Or even college students. And according to this list, there are also 30 year olds that know how to party. In my opinion, I think the 30 year olds that make this list: Frank the Tank, Billy Madison, etc. are a little creepy, but hey, when you’re funneling beers, I suppose it doesn’t matter who’s holding one end and who’s drinking out the other.

The Simplistic yet Entrancing Art of Chan Hwee Chong

Everything artist Chan Hwee Chong has done a series of images that mix the faces and features of various cartoon icons. I’ve included two sets of photos below. The first set is a cartoon mixing machine as featured above. You’ll see Mario, Blossom, among others as if they mated and produced a baby. The second set of cartoons was labeled his cartoon Nip/Tuck as he took disfigured faces and made them into the famous toons they are today. Be sure to support him by checking out his website as well as seeing the rest of his art I compiled below.
The Couple of Disney Real Life Portraits I Missed
Posted in Character Profiles, Movies, tagged Comedy, Disney, Entertainment, Film, Movies, news on April 6, 2012| Leave a Comment »
Nearly a month ago, I posted some real life renderings of Disney Princesses. They were beautiful representations of some of the most memorable heroines in Disney movies. A friend came to me afterwards asking for where Cinderella and Snow White and Tiana were. I was surely puzzled because the artist had bothered to draw obscure Princesses like Meg and even Ursula. So I did a little digging and found out that I haven’t shared the entire set yet. So here’s the rest of them. I realized I didn’t give credit to an artist, so let me fix that mistake here: http://jirkavinse.wordpress.com/ The rest are down below.

It’s no surprise that the Coen Brothers make some of the most memorable characters in movie history. Each of their movies seem to have a perfect balance between quirky hilarious and downright terrifying. Even their one movie I never seemed to comprehend, A Serious Man, had some decent memorable characters. Here’s the list of my five favorite characters from their very long and impressive resume. Feel free to chime in when you feel as though I’ve forgotten somebody.

The people at Movie Fone have compiled some young Oscar nominated actresses and made a graphic of their Win/Lose ratio. This is apparently supposed to tell us who the most talented is. And by the numbers, we see that Kate winslet (6 wins, 3 snubs) is the most nominated, but Salma Hayek (1 win, 0 snubs) has the best ratio. According to some of the other graphics, Kate Winslet has the most oscar Worthy nominations. Anywho, check it out for yourself below.

Character Profile: Dexter Morgan
Posted in Character Profiles, tagged dexter morgan, showtime, television on March 15, 2012| 2 Comments »
Dexter Morgan is an everyday man. He works at Miami Metro Homicide, brings donuts for his co workers and has a very normal girlfriend. Behind this mask of normalcy, Morgan also goes out at night and works as a serial vigilante, hunting down criminals who escape the justice system, lays them on a kill table, lines the rooms with his victims, and eventually cuts their throat/stabs their heart/what-have-you. Clearly disturbed and borderline insane, he has a strict moral code that dictates how he lives his life. For nearly 7 seasons now on Showtime, we’ve watched Dexter grow from a cold hearted killer to not-so-cold-hearted killer, and we’ve loved every minute of it. So I’ve compiled a gallery and bio for TV’s favorite serial killer. More below. In addition to SPOILERS.
As a deviant artist myself, I’ve developed respect for the artists that I’ve ‘stolen’ these images from. As a result, I’ve added a link to each artist [a painstaking procedure] in an attempt for them to get their support by viewing their pages. Please be sure to do so. Especially artist Patrick Brown who the first 4 images belong to. His work is phenomenal and he deserves your attention.
Sam Rockwell: Dancing Machine
Posted in Character Profiles, Movies on March 14, 2012| Leave a Comment »
He’s not necessarily a household name and is often known for playing douchey Jeremy Piven type characters, but Sam Rockwell can hold his own when it comes to acting. People usually recognize him as Iron Man’s whiny enemy in Iron Man 2 or the Drew Barrymore’s crazy boyfriend [not Tom Green] in Charlie’s Angel, but I know him best for his memorizing performance in Moon and even the extra on Galaxy Quest. He’s done a lot of supporting character work, but uploader aeide13 has hilariously compiled a series of clips from all his movies where he DANCES. And sonuvvabitch, he’s a pretty good dancer. In movies that have nothing to do with dancing like Iron Man, Moon, and Charlie’s Angel, he always fits in a dance. The video is hilarious and I highly suggest you see some of his other work [Moon, watch Moon. Please watch Moon. It’s really awesome.]
Morning Oatmeal: Ron Swanson Before He was Ron Swanson

Nick Offerman aka Ron Fcking Swanson, to me, is an enigma. He seems to be a comedic hidden gem that has actually graced us many times before, but we deemed him an unimportant extra. Now he’s very much a household name to the culturally competetant, which makes us grow interested in who he was before he blessed us with one of the best characters of television. Warming Glow has compiled who he was before Parks and Recreation and I suggest you check out their sweet gallery.

The Chive has created this awesome graphic giving you reasons to not take his daughter. With Taken 2 coming around the bend and the original Taken not being horrible, there’s decent reason to start getting excited. The graphic below gives you lessons based on Neeson’s career as to why taking his daughter is a horrible idea. My favorite: He Trained Batman

[EDIT] This video is making serious beefs with my format. The youtube version was cut for copyright and the one I tried to embed is making my format lose all common sense. Until I find another version, I refer you to the link. I apologize for the inconvenience.
I recently watched The Chappelle Show for laughs and giggles. First off, it was probably one of the more controversial and groundbreaking shows of its time and inspired a heinous string of followers: Mind of Mencia, etc. Regardless, the show had a couple of sketches that I dropped my jaw when I saw. In the clip above is the beautiful tropical fish, Ann Perkins, as an extra who had been reduced to doing seedy yet hilarious sketches like this before her Parks and Recreation days. Not too groundbreaking, yes, but I think it’s fun to see actors ‘paying their dues’ before they make it big. I’m sure she cringes every time someone references this.

The Memorable Oscar Moment: The Dictator vs. Ryan Seacrest

This week’s 3:00 EST quips will honor the remains of the Oscar hangover. It know it’s been like 2 weeks, but in case you missed any bit, this will week will bring you the best the internet had to offer of Oscar related things. Today’s post is probably the most memorable moment of the night. Sasha Baren Cohen’s Dictator scuffing up the pretty pompous face of Ryan Seacrest is quite the sight to see.
