It would be an interesting debate to see who was first.  Pixar’s Carl from Up or this old guy.  One clearly influenced the other.  Pixar is usually super original, so I like to think this old guy emulated Carl.  That would mean either he has super awesome grandkids that told him this and they dressed him….Or this old guy is super alone and he dresses like children’s movie characters to make kid friends….One is a much darker story line than the other.

Moviefone artists have creatively taken 90s Nicktoons and applied them to the upcoming Avengers.  Above you’ll see representatives from Rugrats, Rocko’s Modern Life, Hey Arnold, and Doug.   A creative notion that I wish I had come up with first.  See these images in higher resolution as well as their standalone pictorals at Moviefone.

A while back, I posted a grown up trailer for Nickelodeon’s Rugrats that depicted the show as a creepy psychological thriller.  Here’s more 90’s cartoon nostalgia with Nickoldeon’s Doug to be portrayed as a Indie-Dramedy.  A couple of things I liked that they maintained the actual skin colors of some of the characters as well as portrayed some of the series deeper inside jokes.  Truly only 90’s children will understand every quote and scene referenced in the series.

And someone seriously needs to teach Patty Mayonaise how to wear a bra.  Those things are all over the place.
