Spring TV may be over, but that doesn’t mean I’m going to stop talking about it. With most television shows, I often fall in love with some of the leads, which lends it itself to about a thick 30-40% of why I’d watch any given television show, with story and humor/drama being the other 30% or so each. So today, I kinda compiled some of my favorite crushes from this past season and some of the reasons why I fell so hard for them.
The criteria of why I chose some of the women include the following: 1) Attractiveness – most people in this industry are fairly attractive. From this category, I’m looking for unique looking people who behold beauty in their own special way. 2) Personality – Most of the people on this list will make me laugh. It’s truly the gateway into most men’s heart. And when you have to choose from a list of all beautiful looking women, character personality is a good way to divide the lines. 3) Plot Driving – Whether they’re actually essential to the story or just a pretty face is kinda important to me. It makes it so much more intimate when the characters you care for actually mean something to story. 4) Fashion Sense – I’m a self confirmed Metrosexual, so I value the way women look and carry themselves. Their choice in wardrobe is very important to me.
Each girl will be based on a scale of 1-5 for each category. However, each girl only has 15 points to be spent on the four categories, so I had to choose carefully. Read below how I rated all my crushes.
Winona Givens (Natalie Zea) from Justified
Okay, she didn’t really do anything this past season except complain and be pregnant. But I simply couldn’t leave her off this Spring TV list. Natalie Zea is absolutely gorgeous and her role as a ex-wife and lover of Raylan is something that has me lusting for the tv screen. It also likely has to do with that southern accent that is just too irresistible. She’s not a fantastic character on the show, as she does some fairly stupid sh!t sometimes, but it doesn’t take anything away when she strolls up to Raylan occasionally in her fairly fashionable wardrobe.
Attractiveness – 5/5
Personality – 2.5/5
Plot Driving – 2.5/5
Fashion Sense – 5/5
While she was a pretty face who dressed well, she kinda nagged a lot and didn’t provide too much drama besides the earlier seasons.
Jane Williams (Eliza Coupe) from Happy Endings
I first saw Eliza Coupe on Scrubs and she was definitely one of the redeeming factors of a dying comedy. When I saw her a part of Happy Endings, I rejoiced in seeing her deliver he very specific brand of humor and delivery. Channeling a lot of what I fell in love with from Courtney Cox’s Monica from Friends, it was easy to quickly fall for the very fashionable successful wife to the equally lovable [but on a totally manly level] Brad Williams. And with her shorter haircut this past season, I never stood a chance [I have a thing for shoulder length haircuts].
Attractiveness – 4/5
Personality – 4/5
Plot Driving – 2/5
Fashion Sense – 5/5
Jane always looks good and well dressed. She’s got a wonderful personality when paired with her significant other. Her stories on Happy Endings aren’t always the best oriented stories [save a few choice ones like the Zombies episode], but her looks and personality make up for it well.
Britta Perry (Gillian Jacobs) from Community
For seasons 1 and 2, I was definitely an Annie kind of guy. She was attractive and kind of a dork. They kinda sold her out this season for her sexuality. And while I totally enjoyed that, she became a bit too mainstream for me [hipster me speaking as I’m putting on my ironically cut shorts and my many plaid t-shirts]. But someone who didn’t get enough attention this season was the lovely Britta. She’s a mess, but definitely the hot kind of mess where her quirkiness and weirdness is totally in tune with me. She might be semi-incompetent, but I’d love the sh!t out of her.
Attractiveness – 3/5
Personality – 5/5
Plot Driving – 3/5
Fashion Sense – 4/5
Britta isn’t the prettiest girl on this list, but she’s definitely got the most personality. Outspoken and misinformed, she’s absolutely hilarious to be around. Her sense of fashion isn’t traditional when it comes to women, but I appreciate her grunge and kinda rebellious looks.
Julia (Lizzy Caplan) from New Girl
She wasn’t really a regular, but she didn’t have to be for me to go gaga for Lizzy Caplan’s Julia. I already love Lizzy Caplan, but the character she played in this show is totally my type. She’s got a deadpan, dark sense of humor, she can rift and rift and rift, and she’s absolutely adorable to look at. She had a lot of chemistry with Jake Johnson’s Nick and they even produced an equally funny short on Funny Or Die where they further display their chemistry.
Attractiveness – 5/5
Personality – 5/5
Plot Driving – 3/5
Fashion Sense – 2/5
Julia definitely has my sense of humor and she’s absolutely gorgeous. But being a lawyer means she wears pant suits a lot, so it wasn’t exactly my favorite thing in the world to see that.
Ygritte (Rose Leslie) from Game of Thrones
There was a lot of women on Game of Thrones this season. But the only real two in competition had to be either Talisa or Ygritte. Cersei’s too much of a b!tch and Dany didn’t really do enough this season to warrant my attention, so I had to narrow it down between the homewrecker and the wildling. I eventually had to go with the Ygritte simply because not only is she beautiful, she’s got an attitude and her awkward love scenes with Jon Snow definitely put a couple of points in my book.
Attractiveness – 4/5
Personality – 4/5
Plot Driving – 5/5
Fashion Sense – 2/5
Ygritte is ‘kissed by fire’, meaning she’s essentially a redhead. Despite being dressed like an Eskimo, her warming personality and her femininity bleed through. And she’s the most plot driven out of all the women here, making me very intimate with her actions and sayings. I had high standards for Ygritte in the books, and she delivered them pretty well here.
Chloe (Krysten Ritter) from the Bitch From Apartment 23
Embarrassingly admittingly, I didn’t really watch this show. I saw an episode or two and I liked it, but I just never really decided to pick it up again. On the other hand, I really like Krysten Ritter. Her raven black hair, quirky style, and her personality seem to be so off beat and attractive to me. So yes, I will eventually pick up on this show, because I can’t help myself but be smitterz for Ritterz.
Attractiveness – 5/5
Personality – 1/5
Plot Driving – 4/5
Fashion Sense – 5/5
From what I’ve seen, Chloe is essentially a b!tch, making her personality quite low, but in my opinion she is very pretty and has a great sense in fashion. And seeing as she drove the two episodes I did see of her through rising action, climax, and resolution, I’d consider her very plot moving.

What about Alex from Happy Endings? She would obviously get a low score for plot driving but I think she is more attractive than Jane and she definitely has a unique (although admittedly sometimes annoying) personality.
A pretty face yes, but I’m too much all about Jane. Jane is relentless and would keep me more entertained if we were a fictional couple via the kourkavich way, and other quirks.
