As stated above, a landlord’s 11 year old boy stole over three grand from one of the tenants living in his building in order for him to use the money for in-game gear for multiple online games. The boy’s excuse was that his allowance was not enough to allow him to purchase said gear, but after seeing the tenant in question place money under her bed, he decided that it was okay for him to ‘borrow’ it. Now, I’m not certain how the jurisdiction and law works in China, but I’m fairly certain that this lady won’t be able to get anything back from those companies due to their user agreements and non-negotiable payment options. Hopefully she’ll be able to recoup some of the stolen cash, but it looks unlikely.
