The Mad Adventures of King Joffrey
We haven’t seen Joffrey in a while, but 3 episodes free of his doucheyness are redeemed in the 10 minutes we see him. Part of a entourage to see his sister off, on his way back, King Joffrey gets hit in the face with a poo pie by one of the many citizens watching his walk the streets. Enraged, he commands his guards to kill a ton of citizens which results in a humongous riot. Part of riot, Cersei, Prince Tommen, the King, and Tyrion managed to get away. Tyrion makes some palm to face contact with the King and wonders where Sansa is. Unfortunately she was taken and was about to be raped by common folk until Sandor Clegane, aka the Dog, came in to save the day. I’m glad they’re constantly trying to cultivate the weird relationships between Sansa with Sandor Clegane and Sansa with Tyrion Lannister, because they do play a larger role in it all.
Robb Ignites Sparks
The woman from before reappears to Robb Stark and more wit and banter fly between them[fairly well written I might add, because like Robb Stark, I’ve truly fallen for this woman as well]. It’s not quite revealed that she’s to be Jeyne [This name should mean nothing to you non book readers, and I’ll do no further book spoilers], but I’m more than quite certain that it is. Regardless, the untimely reappearance of Catelyn Stark reminds Robb that he’s technically already betrothed. What’s even more untimely is that Robb and Catelyn get further news about Theon taking Winterfell. He’s persuaded to stay the course of who I can only identify as Roose Bolton. There’s mentioning of basterds and retaking Winterfell, and I can only imagine how confused or disappointed the non-book readers to simply take this knowledge for what it is. The book readers should easily identify what’s to go on, but I feel that this part was fairly under developed, but probably necessary.
Osha Continues to Be Awesome
Back in Winterfell, Osha seemingly turns on Bran by offering herself to Theon. She however betrays him with her sex and does the same with a helpless guard as she cuts her way to free Bran, Rickon, Hodor, and the two Direwolves to go venture off. To where, we’re not exactly sure seeing as the entire North is crawling with Iron Men.
Dany on the Way to the House of the Undying
Dany’s part is equally short but ultimately fascinating. She’s at first denied to get some boats and soldiers to retake [or take] Westeros. On her way back, she finds her men killed, hand maiden slaughtered, and dragons taken. Based on the preview showing the Warlocks inviting her to the House of the Undead and not specifically showing them in the episode, it’s easy to assume that the Warlocks took the dragons to the House of the Undead where Dany will ultimately follow them.

Where is the weasel soup scene!!! Haha
Ok, finished A Clash of Kings.
although I don’t remember anybody taking the dragons from Dany… oh, anyways. Can’t wait to see the t battle of King’s Landing…
No one did, the actual series has severed itself fairly well from the source material by using plot advances like that. I suppose it’s necessary to fit an 800 page behemoth into 10 hours though. You’ll easily crush through a storm of swords because so much awesome stuff happens. Be sure to keep me updated!
It’s interesting how we find almost the same frames in the show interesting, I made a review of this ep too and chose maybe two or three of the same ones you have here. LOL.
They’re cutting out Jeyne. Robb’s Red Cross girl is this invented character Talisa of Volantis. 😦
I keep telling myself it’s some sort of cover or some sort. But I do remember the producers talking about giving Robb something to do given his actual absence in the books.
It sounds I’m reading towards this all… I just read what you said about Joffrey, may the poo be with him. I LOVE Tyrion. I can’t read fast enough, really… but the series, I haven’t seen. I hope soon.
Haha I’m so excited for you. It’s just soooo good. I can’t wait for you to get to a storm of swords. Things get absolutely crazy in that one.
I will!!!
One question, just because I can’t wait to know: will I see Nymeria again? I’m just starting book 3.
Like most of the stark children, they’ll often slip into their wolf skins and ayra is no different, but as far as I am in the series, I haven’t encountered ayra seeing Nymeria 😦
So you haven’t finished the books then?
I’m in the first quarter of Feast for Crows, so there’s hope yet!
