It’s been a long time. I updated before, promising us starting earlier mid-December. But I was still on vacation found out that I didn’t want to spend energy doing this type of thing. So here I am, trying to scramble together enough posts to satisfy the fanbase. And I’m kicking it off with a quick update with what I’ve been up to and what I’ve seen these past two months. Below is a list of ten of the awesomest things that have happened to me. Check below and hope you look forward to the newest installments I have for you guys.
10. Announcement of a South Park RPG

I subscribe to Game Informer. I’m not sure why because I’m not a heavy gamer or anything like that, but I was pleasantly surprised to see the South Park gang featured on the cover. That’s the first I heard of the South Park RPG, and I was genuinely excited to hear that this type of thing was being made and even more delighted with creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker’s heavy involvement. This is something I will look into heavily in the future. As well as come up with a few posts dedicated to the news.
9. Getting Modern Warfare 3

I know it’s ironic that I just wrote above that I’m not a heavy gamer and then the next thing on my list is a video game. All hypocrisy aside, I love the casual aspect of this shooter game. This is my first Call of Duty game and I couldn’t have been more satisfied with it. I haven’t even touched the single player game and I’ve lost countless hours tearing up multiplayer. With it’s addictive level system and quick set up, this was certainly something exciting that will quench my 11 year old sense of destruction.
8. Trailers to the biggest movies of the year

Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit. Ridley Scott’s Prometheus. Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises. It was a big week for trailers when all these came out. They lit up a fire in the internet’s belly. When one fandom freak out was over, another one quickly arose. After witnessing all three of these trailers, I’ve got a feeling 2012 is going to be a very successful year. Including another title like Joss Whedon’s Avengers, I’m very excited about the upcoming year.
7. Finishing the Millenium Trilogy

If I ever had an unrealistic crush, it’d be little Lisbeth Salander from the Millennium series. And with David Fincher’s version out now, I’ve always found that Rooney Mara’s take on the vulnerable yet strong Salander was much more accurate than Noomi Rapace’s intimidating and rather bulky take. And as I finally finished the last of writer Stieg Larsson’s books, I look forward to watching Fincher’s versions of the trilogy and seeing Salander herself becoming one of the most literary and film icons of this decade/generation.
6. The Community Mid-season Finale

What was potentially the last episode of Community we’ll ever see on TV, it sure went out with a quite a bang. Clever, spine tingling, and hilarious, Community’s take on Glee was spot on and included quite a surprising turn by Taran Killam, who is now in my top 5 current SNL cast members. With an appearance by Childish Gambino, a sexy Santa Annie, the ending song, and the line ‘Me so Christmas, me so merry’, Community ended on a good note if it ends at all. But I don’t see it happening. With Hulu calling it the number one comedy on the site, the TV guide’s cover photo, and loads and loads of internet rage, NBC would be losing even more if they tried to cancel this comedic, witty gem. #sixseasonsandamovie #greendalexmas

I just commented on another post about Happy Endings, but I’m glad you found it! It needs the love from the blogging community – I write about it often! http://thelittlestwinslow.com/2011/09/30/happy-times-with-happy-endings/ And there are no words for the shit that just went down on American Horror Story. What a brilliant, brilliant show. Kudos on the references – we share many interests haha
Great shares!
