Well it may not happen any time soon with the still terrible Mario Bros. movie fresh in my mind, Shigeru Miyamoto has stated his interest in continuing to bring Nintendo names to the big screen. With Pokemon being the most obvious of hits, continuing its trend as one of the longest running and most popular cartoons to date, Nintendo also hit a home run with the Animal Crossing anime, which has also spawned a cult following. The article I linked to only has a single thought from the genius that gave us pretty much everything we want from Nintendo, but that one statement is enough for me to get my hopes up. Will we get Link and Zelda on the big screen? Maybe even Samus Aran clad in her power suit. Only time will tell.
