This makes me sick that he didn’t get one. What I posted is a video of Andy Serkis playing Caesar in last Summer’s Rise of the Planet of the Apes. This video is CGI-less and has him in a motion censoring suit. It’s very well done and props to him. Outrage I say, outrage.

Outrage indeed, my friend. The Academy HAS to create a new category for COmtion Capture, since it’s going to be more and more common every year. At the very least he deserves a special mention. GGGGGGGGRRRRRRRR
Forget the motion capture category, as signified in this video, I think it’s enough to get at least a nod for LEAD role. I barely accept a nod in supporting, but if they put his nomination there, the Academy really didn’t get the movie then. Oh well, shucks. There’s always hope for getting a nod as he portrays Gollum again in The Hobbit.
